Our board has 3 layers which are different than other boards:

1. FIRST LAYER (LAMINATION LAYER) - Most boards use PP film which is a cheap lamination – this causes staining, ghosting and marking which ruins the board. Hmmagnets' layer is made of a special film lamination (transparent PET) which makes the surface durable for constant, repeated erasing that will leave your board new and GLOSSY – NO staining, NO ghosting and NO remnant markings.
2. SECOND LAYER (BLACK LAYER) - Most boards use cheap regular paper for this layer. This causes the layers not to adhere to each other which is the reason for peeling corners, worn off edges & bubbles. Hmmagnets' layer is solid unique PVC, which gives your board a pure black look. Ours is the ONLY one available that completely prevents peeling corners, worn off edges and bubbles.
3. THIRD LAYER (MAGNETIC LAYER) - Our bottom layer is a thick (0.5mm) rubber magnet which makes it more magnetic and less flimsy than other boards! Stick it to any magnetic metal surface – fridges, lockers, dishwashers and more – without the worry of it falling off.

While other blackboards include only 0-4 colored markers, you will get 8 multicolor magnetic markers (white, red, blue, green, purple, yellow, orange and pink). This will allow you greater versatility:

1. Kids love drawing and writing on blackboards - especially when it comes with full range of color markers.
2. Use a different color for different purposes – lists, tasks/chores etc. – each one can have its own color!

Activate the Markers:

• Step 1 : Shake - Make sure the marker's head is properly screwed on and that the cap is properly closed and then shake the marker for 30 seconds.
• Step 2 : Pump - Remove the cap and hold the marker vertically. Place the tip onto the paper towel or napkin. Press down and release the tip repeatedly, until it fills with ink. Hold down each pump, for a second or two before releasing. Once the color saturates the tip completely - you are ready to write on the board, but it might take about 30 pumps for the ink to flow out.

* If the ink does not flow out after 30 pumps / one minute of pumps – and you see the tip is still dry – don’t worry! Close the cap and shake it again (repeat the steps until it is ready for usage).

* If during future usage, the tip is starts drying up and there is not enough ink in your writing, repeat the steps to saturate the tip.

Erasing the Board:

• For erasing small parts or making small corrections, start with a dry cloth/paper towel. If you find it a bit difficult, you can use a second wet one – water removes the ink immediately!
• For erasing the board completely, you will find it easier to take it off the fridge and place it on a flat surface like your kitchen table/counter. Use both a wet cloth\paper towel and a dry one to properly clean the board.

Answer:	Hi Smitty, thank you for your question. We recommend priming a chalkboard with a real powder chalk stick. When priming, you can use white chalk or black chalk! We have tried both, and the results are the same! Here is how we recommend you prime your chalkboard: 1. Using a piece of chalk on its side, rub vertically and horizontally until the entire surface of the chalkboard is covered in chalk. Be sure to use the side of the chalk. This will give your background an even consistency. The chalk works best once it’s flattened and smooth. Break long pieces in half for easier control. 2. Take a DRY rag or paper towel and rub the chalk into the board in a circular motion. You’re not erasing, but rather pushing the chalk layer into the pores even further. 3. Once complete, you can wipe the board with a wet rag to remove any chalk dust and then dry it again. After this step, you are good to go, and your chalkboard is officially primed! Answer:	Yes, it would come off. This label is similar to a chalkboard. The pen writes in liquid chalk and is easily wiped off by a finger, let alone a dishwasher. This makes it not ideal for very commonly used items where the label might be bumped and smudged. The labels are also made with a durable sticky adhesive on one side, but I doubt that the adhesive would survive the heat and water of a dishwasher. I would only use these for something that doesn't get handled a lot and doesn't go in the dishwasher. I use them for containers of teas and herbs.

Answer:	Hello, the marker is between fine and medium I would say, the reusable labels are awesome, the chalk pen is small and more than likely will need to purchase a new one before long. USE IN MORE PLACES THAN DRY ERASE

Our liquid chalk markers dry quickly yet erase easily as they are water-based. They are easy to clean off most surfaces or clothes with water.

STARTING THE MARKERS

If you have never used liquid chalk markers, please read the following instructions on how to 'start' the markers. They are liquid chalk so they need to be mixed and activated. The markers will arrive with a new white/tan tip and fresh chalk inside. When starting the the markers, you will see the colored chalk flow into the tip.

• Shake the marker
• Press and pump the tip down on a surface
• Keep pressing and pumping until the liquid chalk flows into the tip
• The tip starts as white/tan but becomes colored as you press and pump
• It take a little bit to start the markers so please be patient (can take up to 90 seconds)

Start the markers at ground level if you are planning to use them on an airplane. The cabin pressure causes them to start too quickly. Please use additional cautions in high alpine environments as well.

REVERSIBLE 6mm TIP - THIN TIP and THICK TIP

One of the best parts about MoodClue markers is that one marker can be either thin tip or thick tip. Just pull the tip straight out and reverse it to have your choice! You can draw a fine line or a thicker bolder line. Perfect for any application.

Answer:	Seems to work just fine. You just need to use a wet towel to erase the chalk markers off of it. We have 2 of these boards we use for home school.
