Their coats continue to grow, which is why they need grooming (haircuts). It is best suited for dogs (also horses and ponies) that shed. Great for Labs and similarly coated dogs.

Answer:	I have not been happy with this brush. I actually tried it on my guardian dogs, who have thick double coats. It was useless. The bristles are just too thick to penetrate. It barely works on the horses manes and tails. Would not recommend.

Answer:	It is actually just a sticker that you can peel off. The Grip-Fit blocks are molded polypropylene.

Answer:	Yes, it is more soft than course, but it is very full and the hairs are thick like they should be. It is great to finish with, but you can use it when they're dusty or sweaty too; it works well either way. I had the usual amount fall out on the first couple uses and knocking the dust out of it on a post, but it is still soft, maybe even softer than when new.
