Answer:	No it is a thin piece of cardboard that you tack on to give the look of solid, you will not find one this size with a solid back for this price. That being said it is a solid bookcase able to handle heavy large books without bowing and I have had to move rooms with mine several times and it is still holding strong. I would recommend tacking it to the wall for stability as it is tall and if you have kids or grandkids that like to climb it's much safer. We have placed ours on carpet and hard wood and sits flush with no sway, lean or tipping forward. Hope this helps

Answer:	I suggest you contact Bush Furniture. I wanted an extra shelf for my bookcase, contacted them and they sent it along with the extra pins at a very nominal cost.

Answer:	I don't recall exactly but it's like 8" x 12" x 75". The individual shelf pieces are carefully stacked with a thin poly layer in between. The ends have some styrofoam for protection, and the cardboard box is very compact around the pieces. It's a very tight/compact packing approach that keeps the size of the container limited to just what's necessary to safely ship the shelf.

It has a veneer of real wood on the surface (as opposed to "vinyl printed with a fake wood print" as so many others have). So, it really does LOOK like real wood, and it's MADE from real wood... but it's not solid wood in the sense I think you're asking.You will NEVER find a bookshelf of this size and weight made out of solid wood at a price point like this. Those sell for ~$1000 or more.The advantage of this shelf over others is that it is heavier... and yes, that's an advantage. "Heavier" meaning "has more weight" (which makes it more stable overall... though more dangerous if it is not placed and secured properly as well!) and also "heavier" meaning "has more load-carrying capacity."Many bookshelves made from particle board have shelves rated for 25 lbs per shelf, or even 15 lbs per shelf. This bookshelf has shelves rated for 45 lbs per shelf. In other words, this bookshelf is designed to actually BE FILLED WITH BOOKS.Yes, you'll be happier if you buy a solid wood bookshelf... but it'll cost you 10X as much. Answer:	U aka RU aka Rack Units are a measure of available vertical capacity within a rack. So the 8U model can safely hold 8U worth of equipment. Your Dell PowerConnect 2848 is a 1U device, so that would leave you 7U unused (or 11U if you bought the 12U model).
Question:	I was thinking of buying this to mount a Numark CDN77 dual CD player for use in my home studio. Would it be suitable
Answer:	As long as your equipment is 19' wide and uses standard U mounting it should. I've seen others use the shorter racks for that sort of thing (often 2 post instead of 4)
Question:	is this mount sturdy? it looks kinda flimsy

Answer:	Not really sure. The dimensions are 15 x 12 x 10. I don't have an album available to measure.
