Answer:	Th UV and AUTO buttons will light up automatically. Push "ADD" so that it lights up to add the bills. This counter does NOT count the value of mixed denominations of bills. Then push "VALUE". Choose the value of the bills you want to add. The 1, 5, 10, 20, 100 represent $1, $5, $10, $20, $100. Push start before you put bills in the counter. I found at with a large stack of bills of one denomination, it is best to put in smaller stacks of that denomination piecemeal. The counter will continue to add the value of the total you put in and give you the total value. You then can "start" again with another denomination. I was disappointed that the counter does not count the value of mixed denominations of money, but that kind of counter is far more expensive, so this works for our small business. I use an excel spreadsheet to add the value of the different denominations for a total. Calculator would work too.

@ kmay:I've been using R-100C Blue Pentel Rolling Writer Pens since 1978, and have never experienced the problem you're having. However, If you drop the Pen on it's point on a hard surface and damage or dislodge the ball, you'll have to toss it in the recycle bin.It's possible there may have been a manufacturing problem with the pens you received. I suggest you get in touch with Pentel, tell them about your issue and request a replacement.

Answer:	I presume you are asking about the color of ink with which it writes. If you purchase a "Rolling Writer" pen which has a black case and top, it will write with black ink.
