Answer:	I wash with whites using hot water option and Tide with bleach (granules). This solves odor issues for me as well as providing cleaning. I do not know how much fluid the mattress pad contained when I washed in the past however.

Answer:	Definitely! I switched from using the disposable puppy pads to using these pads for my three small dogs. They work wonderfully! I just throw them in the washing machine with some bleach and hot water to wash and they come out beautifully. I save money on not having to buy disposable puppy pads, and I'm not creating more trash for the landfill. My suggestion for switching from disposable puppy pads to these pads is to put a puppy pad next to this pad on the floor and gradually transition your dog to the new pads. My 15 yr old pug had a bit of a challenge at first, thinking she was trying to "go" on something she should not. She was looking for the puppy pads, but it did not take very long for her to realize that these pads were the "new thing" for her to use.

Answer:	I didn't use the clear gasket and water pipe connecter. I just connected the hose to the connector on splash bad and did just fine

Answer:	No. It hooks up to a hose and only sprays when the hose is on. It also isn't actually a pool. It is just a flat piece of vinyl with an outer ring that fills with water and has holes in it for spraying.

Answer:	The hose connects directly to the splash pad. I’m not sure about the yellow thing that sticks outside to connect the hose. There is a yellow piece attached to the pad that allows the hose connection.
