Answer:	Yes it can work,but you have to move up / down little act or keep the scanner 1-2 feet back from the item than scan it until you heard the noise....The scaners works very good but also the barcode printing quality is very important to read it...

Answer:	It depends on what you want on the receipt. If you just want a list of books purchased, their prices, the total amount due, and the date of sale you could easily set up an Excel spreadsheet to find this data when a book is scanned. That is what I'm currently doing to make a list of the equipment I'm taking to a job.

You get the buzzing/vibrations when pressing the trigger. It means that the scanner successfully scanned a barcode you were trying to read. Both of these can be turned off by scanning the "Sound off" / "Vibration off" barcodes from the plastic card that comes with the scanner.

Answer:	I've been able to use it with a Chromebook to enter barcode data into a Google Sheet spreadsheet, so unless the website is peculiar in some way, I'd say yes.

Answer:	In my experience, that will depend a lot on what you're scanning. Different encoding schemes and how dense they are will make a difference, how high the contrast is on the lebel will make a difference, and (I promise I'm not kidding) ambient light will make a difference. Some of the fluorescent bulbs at work make scanning harder, as does a lot of ambient sunlight from windows. Generally I can scan larger encodings from like 6 inches away, but for some things and some circumstances, more like 2 or 3 inches.
