Question:	Can this work manually in case electricity goes off
Answer:	The hole-punch feature will not work if the machine is not turned on (which means you need electricity to run that part). The binding part of the machine is manually operated so it does not require electricity, in fact it can be lifted out of the machine and one person can hole-punch and pass off the hole-punched pages to someone else to bind them if you so choose. However, if you have not already hole-punched the pages, you obviously can't bind them.
Question:	What is the lifetime for the machine
Answer:	I don't know if anyone would have this answer. It probably depends on how often it is used. We love this machine. So much better and easier than the former manual binding machine. We do not, however, use it on a daily basis.
Question:	What is the power rating for this machine? Can you please confirm if its 110v or 220v
Answer:	This machine is 110 volt so it can be plugged into a standard outlet.
Question:	I do not understand two qualities underlined here: What does "Usage" mean and what is "Reusable Dies
Answer:	Usage refers to how often the machine will be used to punch and bind books, etc. In this case it refers to what kind of wok load it should be able to stand. I think your other question should be releasable dies, not reusable. I think a better term would be interchangeable dies - that would let you change the size, number, and shape of holes you punch in the paper you put in the machine. (Dies refers to the metal "teeth" that punch the holes the plastic binding clips go through.

Question:	Residue from using it causes the holes to be mis-punched. Do you have a tool that can be used to clear the track for the next project
Answer:	I tried both cases. All works well. I tried binding glue strip with own cover which I used own printed photo paper as cover. It looks good with pretty strong binding. I bought some covers. It looks like commercial binding. Overall I am happy with this binder. Even though binder glue is good, I always use staple to make extra binding power. It is not recommend by fellows, but I have used. None of page comes out from my bindings so far.
Question:	Will this machine only allow the maximum thickness it can punch to be inserted at a time, I am tired of counting pages each punch
Answer:	I have used lots of different covers: chipboard, cardstock, report covers, etc. Anything that will not melt at a lower temperature than the hot glue/adhesive.
Question:	does it accept cardstock and other thick paper
Answer:	In theory, yes. The only thing that can be an obstacle is whether the heat from the machine will affect the book spine... e.g. warping, melting, and cracking. We use it to make custom books and the quality of the spine after heating really depends on the cover paper coatings.
Question:	Can anyone tell me what the "starter kit" contains re: comb sizes, etc.? Please and thank you
Answer:	Yes. It works very well. The glue is strong but some times couple of pages come out from the binding books. As long as you use staple with glue. It is perfect. They are not recomand to use staple, but it works better. I made many thick binding books with staple and glue. none of them failed.

Question:	Are there spines for this machine that can hold 150+ pages? I need to make a large booklet with this but the largest spine I've seen is 85 pages
Answer:	Google for 3:1 spiral binding - make SURE it's 3:1, that's what size this is. The largest I've found is 60mm / 2 inches, which says it will hold 440 pages. Only warning - spiral binding can take a little bit more time to install, but the flexibility in size and color and price makes it worth it for us.

Answer:	I don't think so. This is just the hole punch. I did buy two boxes of the spines (in two different sizes) and they both came with the appropriate opening/closing tool for the spines in the box. I'm not sure exactly what "editing" you want to do with this, but this is just the hole punch for binding papers. It's not for actually publishing them.
Question:	Does it punch through lamination easily
Answer:	With the manual Pro-click desktop binding I can punch thru a 11.5 photo paper laminated with a 3 mil hot lamination sheet but one at a time and pushing the machine towards the wall as support. Because it is thick material I have someone holding the laminated photo paper in place and I do a strong chick pass. If you don't hold well the sheet in place it will come off in one corner. for regular 24 lb inkjet paper I only put in 3 sheets at a time, tried 5 sheets and I had trouble. Answer:	I'm sitting here looking at one of the packages and it doesn't say the thickness anywhere. All it says is "heavyweight. But, I know the clear covers I got to use with them are 7 mil and the black covers are much heavier than that. I would guess they might be 9 to 10 mil. These binding covers are very nice and an excellent quality. I wanted our presentations to look and feel very upscale and these binders do that. I also purchased the ones with the rounded corners.

Answer:	It is a two step process. First you punch the holes and then you align the papers and put the comb on.

Answer:	Yes. They can do smaller sizes, and yes they would have to cut the combs down to size... Also they would need to try to get the paper aligned to cut the holes in the proper place though.

Answer:	It will NOT punch 11 3/4" long media. The slot will only hold up to 11 3/8" long paper. Also, the punch will not be centered at that length. It will have 3/8" from one side to the first slot and 4/8" (1/2") from the other side to the last slot... you cannot center it exactly.
Question:	What is the thickness of the plastic cover
Answer:	I'm not sure but there is a small wheel on the left side that might adjust the depth. I don't dare to try it because mine is set perfectly at the moment. The wheel has an arrow up and down so I'm thinking it might be this.

Answer:	yes, the clear front covers are a separate item and are not included with the solid back covers.
Question:	Do these prepunched holes support the plastic comb binders or the wire spiral binders
Answer:	This shouldn't be a problem. I have done this, and found that it worked better to punch both right and left sides of cover before trying to cut. Also, I would use a paper cutter and cut one sheet at a time. I assumed your book is 4.25" wide X 5.5" tall.

Question:	Why are these larger than a standard piece of paper
Answer:	Because they are to be used like a book cover. Hard cover books the cover generally sticks out a bit further then the paper. Then it protects the report pages.
Question:	Is the material basically card or plastic
Answer:	The material is more like a card stock. It is not plastic.
Question:	Are these textured on both sides? And are they stamped with "Fellowes" somewhere? I want to use them as a back cover rather than front cover
Answer:	We use these as back covers for client meeting books. The texture is prominent on 1 side, but does show some on the other side. These work well with our binder and punch much better than plastic covers. Forget if they're stamped with fellow (not currently at the office or I would check). We make a lot of books & like these for back covers. Hope this helps you!
