For me it was not so much a point about leg support like a foot stool or recliner would give, but instead it was about alignment. I think this is the main idea behind this product. I am fairly big, and use this in my car. Which is generally used for short trips of less than 40 miles a day. So depending on your size, (sorry if that is offensive) but sometimes even the biggest people have a problem getting fitted right. What I did notice was this, my legs were raised up just short of my knee, and the back curve of the seat helps to compact our butts more uniformly together, up and down, as well as left to right. So slouching is helped out. I would not recommend this if we are talking about using it for more than maybe 60 minutes at a time.

Answer:	I installed my desk pad on 100% thick carpet. It has about a 1” taper angle on the glass edge. The glass is about 1/4 thick. I think it needs to lay flat on the surface. Good luck!
