Answer: It can literally go all the way down to the base. This is the most flexible workstation I have ever seen. Whatever you mount to the pole can be adjusted up and down the length of the pole. Be aware, the table top, if you swing it left to right a lot, as I do, will cause the top to slid down. I just unlatch it on th back and slid it up, but I can see where some people might be annoyed.

Answer: No. The pole is one piece. You would need to cut it

That said, this is not going to be a standing desk for most people, but it is nice and compact, and relatively sturdy.

Answer: At corners sticks out about 3", but at center, where the keyboard sits, it's about aligned. Because the front of the keyboard tray is curved, if the keyboard is pulled forward a bit, it remains stable. (By the way -- I love this product!)

Answer: Pretty easy... it is pneumatic assist so it rises easily and there is a clamp to lock it down. I love it. It is perfect size for me but may be less ergonomic for people taller than 5'7" unless you elevate the screen.

Answer: The keyboard is approximately is 3.5" below the desk.

Answer: No, the keyboard tray, desktop and foot rest are all fixed. The only adjustment is the height. It's a very very nice sturdy piece of furniture however.
