If your line is configured for 3 Way Calling, you can call one person, do a flash hook, call another person, do another flash hook and conference all 3 parties together. I have a regular phone connected to the same phone line and if I need a private conversation I use the regular phone and turn the polycom off without hanging up until I get through with my private conversation. This seems to work well for me. This may be what you are speaking about - not sure. I just press the phone button on the polycom once I am ready to resume public conversation and hang up the regular phone. Hope that helps. |

Answer: | I think the seller's answer is a bit misleading. If you only have one single phone line, then you can only have one other person on the other end (unless you three-way call). It's no different than your regular desk phone. The way most people conduct a conference call is through a service. Each remote attendee would call into a toll-free number somewhere and your Polycom would also call into that same number. Then this conference "service" would put you all together on the call together. I hope that makes sense and helps. |
