Question:	Will this stick to Frosted Glass, which is not smooth
Answer:	The adhesive interface is extremely strong. You had better be very careful where you stick the device on your glass the first time because you will have great difficulty removing it one it is attached. The warning sign is part of the sticky stuff so it can be seen (the warning sign) from outside the window. I have not tried it on frosted glass, so I cannot give you an answer that has proven the test of time. My opinion is, however, based on my experience with the product, that it will stick to frosted glass so well that removing it from frosted glass might actually break a thin sheet of glass unless you were very careful. This is a good device. The alarm Is 120 db. The alarms with my professional SIMPLY SAFE security system are only 105 db. If I am not mistaken a 6 db increase in sound level doubles the perceived loudness to the human ear. Be sure to mount these devices on the window without the batteries in them. Leave enough room so that you can easily open the battery compartment to install the batteries very few months. I did not do this, triggered the alarm, and my ears actually hurt for three days! There are two sensitivity levels. If your window is going to be moved up and down a little to open and close it, put the sensitivity control on "1." I have been able to move our high quality replacement windows up and down with the sensitivity setting on one without triggering the alarm. The reason I have these little alarms on my window is that my SIMPLY SAFE window alarms respond only to glass breakage. These little alarms respond to breakage as well as significant vibration. They work differently and together provide, I think, better protection. Use the high sensitivity setting (2) on windows that are not typically opened. If you trigger the alarm, know exactly where the switch is to turn it off. Settings == high sensitivity (2), low sensitivity (1), and OFF. If you trigger the alarm by accident you must shut it off instantly or your hearing can be damaged. I have tested this product, and I am 100% satisfied that it is extremely well designed and provides an additional margin of safety for me beyond my SIMPLY SAFE professionally monitored system. Question:	How sensative are these piezos? How small amplitude of vibration can they sense? For example could they sense the vibration from a bearing in a fan
Answer:	They are very sensitive. I can set the off with the smallest tap on the table. The fan vibrations may drown out the vibrations from the bearing though. In my experiments on a metal table a nickel dropped from about a foot set it off. Hope this helps they were certainly the right device for my project.
Question:	What can i connect to the sensor to show the vibration was detected
Answer:	Works well with an Arduino Uno and laptop set up.
Question:	Does this act as an on / off switch when vibration is detected it turns on or off
Answer:	It can if hooked up to something like an Arduino Uno or Rasp Pi.
Question:	I can use it for vibrating the piezo instead of sensing vibrations to make a DIY piezo pump

What if I could not connect the Aqara Vibration Sensor to the app?

1. Check to see if the hub's firmware version is up to date.

2. Check if the hub is already in the pairing mode.

3. Check if the sensor is reset successfully, and the LED indicator is blinking as expected.

4. Keep the sensor as close as possible to the hub and keep trying.

5. Try with another child device to see if there is something wrong with the sensor itself.

6. Try with another hub and see if there is something wrong with the previous hub.

7. Please be aware that we can add no more than 32 child devices to a hub at the same time.
