| Answer: | On model 1SKB-R6UW, the mounting rails are ~ 17 5/8 inches apart. It's 17 5/8 inches from a position on the rear rail to the same position on the front rail, for example from the back of the rear rail to the back of the front rail, or from the front of the rear rail to the front of the front rail. The rails are ~ 1/8 inch thick. This is for model 1SKB-R6UW, which is the wheeled version of 1SKB-R6U. I recommend the wheeled version if you're loading the rack with heavy amps. My 3 rack unit bass amp is ~40 pounds alone. |

| Answer: | I do not have a chance to leave my case under the weather. I normally transfer my equipments from the van to the facility. I do not think is waterproof because the covers do not have a rubberized seal. I will not take a chance to store expensive gears unless you cover or reinforce it with a plastic bag. Make sure you sealed the bag with tape. |
