User questions & answers
Question: | Does this just split the audio, or does it actually "drive" headphones? If so, how many Ohms can it handle |
Answer: | No. This is an 8 channel headphone amp. It simply increases the response of multiple headsets used at one time, to boost the output of each headset in a recording studio setting. |
Question: | How do I use this with my laptop? I got male extensions but it doesn't seem to be working |
Answer: | We use inputs on the front of the panel and at the same time use some of the ins on the rear panel and it works fine. No issues with volume. Overall a good product for the small amount of money we paid for the item. |
Question: | is this just for volume control, or does it actually amplify bass, highs, lows, etc |
Answer: | Yes. Just run ear buds with an adapter |
Question: | does it come with the extender cord? compatible with M-Audio fast track - cord from the existing headphone jack to amp |
Answer: | Hello, to the best of my knowledge, a 220v version is not available in the US. I could not find a specification in the amplifier. A lot of power amps use universal power supplies that allows a voltage from 110 to 220 @ 60 or 50 Hz to be allowed. Usually that specification is marked on the amplifier at the AC input. I don’t see that on the power amplifier images. Hope this helps. |

Question: | Are these sturdy, good quality |
Answer: | The picture that comes up here says it’s “herbal” & that’s the one I’ve been using since the late 1970’s. It has a very nice light fragrance that is not overpowering. But there is one that is fragrance free. |
Question: | Will this work for this type of microphone neewer nw-700 professional studio broadcasting recording condenser microphone |
Answer: | No idea. It happens often I think. It shouldn't be much more expensive from your local health food store. FYI, The company behind organic and natural personal care brand Nature's Gate has filed for chapter 11 protection. User questions & answers
Question: | Does it come with rack ears |
Answer: | No, USA only - 105 -120 volts. Sorry |
Question: | Can this be used standalone as a mixer without a computer |
Answer: | Yes, it is global to all inputs. I stand corrected . It only affects the three mike/line channels. |
Question: | Can you plug RCA input into this? or is it only rca out |
Answer: | ART makes some great devices. I like this design, but I would eschew this one for the Behringer Ultralink Pro 8 Channel Splitter/Mixer Model MX882 more flexibility at a lower price. But if it is the SGX 2000 Express you are after, that's out of production but a great unit.. try Reverb.com |
Question: | Can you plug a single stereo 6.35mm cable into one of your 4 inputs, and will it stay stereo |
Answer: | Charlie, you are able to add external effects such as reverb or delay via the FX loop. You send the signal out of the MX622, and into the effect unit, then return it back thru the RETURN inputs on the MX622. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything further, thank you! |

Question: | hi does anyone know if this amp could run 4 aura pro bass shakers or 4 buttkicker mini lfe |
Answer: | Hi Steven, did you ever try this out? I'm also considering using this amp to run 4 Aurasound AST-2B-4 shakers. I am also considering the Pyle PT8000CH 8-channel amplifier to run 8 shakers as it will save me ~$100 in the long run. |
Question: | Can this work for a small restaurant, 4 sets of speakers? what else would I need to buy to set up a system (am no music xpert, as you can tell |
Answer: | The amp has 4 zones and 4 inputs. (One input to each zone independently controlled or almost like having 4 separate single channel amps in one) You may have to use a splitter on your audio source (Example MP3 player) to hook up to each input (Like a "Y" Adapter)The amp is pretty nice if this is what your needing it for. I used it to install in a customers house for multi room control.Note* System also has 1/4 mono audio inputs (Not RCA) and the outputs use Speacon adapters to speakers themselves. (Not a big deal, just need to be aware that you will need these adapters to terminate cable)Hope this Helps! |
Question: | Will this item work in the UK, on 220-240vs |
Answer: | Not sure about this. |
Question: | Mine creates a visible spark and a loud pop whenever turned off. Is this normal, or is this a faulty device |
Answer: | I don't remember that ever happening with mine (I don't have it anymore). Are you turning if off first, before anything else? I believe the order of turning audio gear off is 1. amp. 2. everything else. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this amplifer 120v |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | how wide is it not accounting for the rack mount mounts |
Answer: | Not including the rack mounts, the case is 17" wide; but about 1/2" behind the rack mount is a set of round screw heads in the case on both side, so to be safe, I would say that width is 17.25" . |
Question: | Can I use a bass preamp to drive this amp |
Answer: | I'm using the amp in a home environment but it sounds great. Not sure how rugged it will be as a gig amp. Has inputs for RCA jack, Phone plug, and XLR, and outputs on Binding Posts and Speakon connectors. Should be good to go. Just make sure you don't overload the input. |
Question: | Bridged watts rms vs peak? Looking to hook up a big sub is the 800 watts peak or rms |
Answer: | This amp doesn't deliver 800 watts. As close as I can tell it's about 275 watts 4 ohm x 2 . So maybe around 550 watts bridged. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can i drive Bose Acoustimas 5 stereo speakers with this power amp |
Answer: | The Acoustimas speaker system utilizes a built in amplifier within the bass speaker that powers the smaller satellite speakers. Essentially any power from this amplifier is filtered by the Acoustimass bass speaker before powering your smaller speakers. You would be better off exploring stereo receiver/amplifiers from Onkyo, Denon, Sony, etc, that have more features than a simple amplifier such as this. |
Question: | Can this be used as bass amplifier with a head as preamp |
Answer: | I'm guessing you are asking about a bass guitar? & yes it should be fine if the speaker "cab" is not going to ask for more than 3-400 watts? You are in the pro category & can find help from the pro's @ Sweetwater which is where I bought mine from. |
Question: | Can i plug an rca device and an xlr device in the input at the same time? can the xlr be a mic, or do i need a preamp |
Answer: | technically yes, but i wouldnt recommend it. part of the signal will go through, but it will be massively distorted and far quieter than it should be. it might also damage the amp and/or your devices plugged into it. as far as using it for a mic, you will almost certainly require a pre-amp unless youre going through an EQ or effects chain before the amp, in which case youll probably be fine. |
Question: | I have a Crown cdi1000. Each channel driving 4 x 8-ohm speakers - too complicated. Will this work in place |
Answer: | Yes |

KM750
The remarkable KM750 packs a heart-stopping 750 Watts of output power into a lightweight (18.7 lbs/8.5 kg) package, thanks to our Accelerated Transient Response (ATR) technology. Ample power (750 Watts in Bridge mode; 2 x 400 Watts @ 4 Ohms; 2 x 200 Watts @ 8 Ohms) and high-tech efficiency combine, giving you a supercharged workhorse
Accelerated Transient Response Delivers the Knockout Punch
It takes huge pulses of energy (current and voltage) to propel a woofer cone out fast enough to match a bass beat. That’s called Transient Response and it’s the holy grail of amp design. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely high slew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of our circuitry, our amps are able to react instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses. If the woofers in your PA system can keep up, your audience will hear a tighter, crisper, more natural sound.
Instead of operating relatively continuously like most power amps, the KM750 features rail tracking for effectively modulating the power supply rails with only the peaks of the input signal. This technology has revolutionized pro audio amp designs with its outstanding performance and efficiency.
Sublimely Simple Operation
The front panel controls and indicators provide your system’s vital signs at a glance. After pressing the Power button, the Power LED lights to show the amp is ready for action. All channels feature positive-detent Gain controls with Signal LEDs that light when a signal is present, as well as Clip LEDs that alert to reduce the input signal.
Just as elegant as the front, the rear panel is home to balanced XLR and ¼ " TRS, plus unbalanced ¼ " TS and RCA connections. Take your pick of professional locking speaker Outputs or touch-proof binding posts to securely connect speakers. The same panel contains the switches that put the KM750 in Mono, Stereo (two channel mode) or mono Bridge mode. Flick the Limiter On/Off switch to activate the built-in overload protection.

User questions & answers
Question: | Has anyone used this with a DI box in front of this unit and then plug in to this unit? For example, guitar->di box->this unit, if so did it work |
Answer: | @guitar->di box->this unitLate to the party here, but other potential buyers might want to know...A DI box basically converts the unbalanced instrument level signal to a balanced mic level signal. So this should work using the Micromon's xlr input.. not the 1/4". So in this situation you may use the Micromon's xlr thru-put out to a mixer channel. Furthermore you could also use the DI box's parallel 1/4" jack to feed a guitar amp... but in that case why do you need to hear it in a pair of headphone's or iem's as others have pointed out).BUT what this unit is intended to do is let to run your mic thru (in and out of) it for extra "just me" monitoring while also receiving a normal monitor/aux send mix from the mixer into the Micromon's 1/4" input. There are other, creative uses for this unit but just know that you results may very when you use any piece of equipment in a way in which it was not intended. And yes, you likely do need to monitor an acoustic guitar if you are on a noisy stage with drums, electrics etc. The ambient sound from the guitar alone is rarely enough in a "band" situation. But at the end of the day, imo, you'll get better results and keep things simpler if you just use a simple stage monitor/wedge. Hondo. |
Question: | Does this serve the same purpose as the Behringer MX400 Micromix 4 Channel Line Mixer in a way if I can get the signal to be stereo? thanks |
Answer: | You can get stereo output. Inputs however are one balanced 1/4" and the second is XLR. It's a great personal mixer and I use it every time I play live. I run the board mix into the 1/4" and then direct from my Line6 X3 Live into the XLR (Mic) input. |
Question: | I want to know if these would be good for all of my players in my praise and worship band. We play new style of worship |
Answer: | I don't use mine for playing out just for practice but the worship team at church uses two, lead guitar and drums.Mine works great for practice also. |
Question: | Can wireless headphones be used with this amp |
Answer: | I'd say any type of headphone can go into this amp. It has a quarter inch as well as 3.5mm jacks. All you need to do is plug it up properly and you'll have sound. |
