Answer:	The Firth pad is slightly better. It is a shame because RealFeel made the best pad in history (or at least, the best I've played) and changed it about 5 or 8 years ago. You can still find the older pads on ebay. Honestly, though, for a new pad, I'd recommend the Firth or a Vater pad over this one.

Answer:	I played the 6 inch for years and just recently got the 12 inch. The 12 inch is much more convenient as it sits in your lap better, works well with a typical snare stand, and just offers more area to play on. The only benefit I can see with the 6 inch is that it's easier to travel with.

Answer:	You don't need a stand, but it's better if you have one. You could rest the practice pad on your lap or on a chair. Mounting it in a snare drum stand is the best way to use this practice pad, as it allows you to sit comfortably (properly), and adjust the height and angle of the practice pad...so I would highly recommend getting a snare drum stand with this practice pad.

Question:	Does the bag hold a regular snare drum
Answer:	No, just what comes in it really. The pad case is tightly fitted and Velcro-ed on your big pouch. I can fit my notebook and a few mallets and sticks in the big pouch with the stand legs, but mostly I just use the pouch for mallets and extra headphones, and I leave the stand at home. The stand is okay, but not as adjustable as I would have liked. The knob is a huge pain. But if you’re not too tall, and won’t move it often, it is strong and ok. The sticks are unhelpful too. After 3rd lesson, I was advised to buy good sticks. My progress improved a lot when they came in. The pad is only good for the first few months of practice. After that, I never used it. I had to go to studio to use a snare & kit there. I know it’s louder, but you need the snappy rebound to do any real rudiment practice. (Like you need a basketball to have enough air to practice dribbling. Imagine practicing basketball with a bowling ball). If you MUST get a practice pad, For noise, get a really good one that can be used for a long time. Build your own custom kit and put it in a backpack that you really like, with flaps & pockets. You won’t carry a snare in it. The snare, even a practice snare, usually gets its own protective bag if you have to haul it a lot of stuff. Get headphones for protection during practice, and for listening to tracks to play along. Jamming makes the boring practice worthwhile when it comes to life. So, get a teacher to recommend what to get, and then spend your money on good useful stuff. It cost me extra in the end to have to do this twice. If this is for Christmas, get also practice tips for sticks. They just smush on, they’re cheap, and you can paradiddle anywhere on anything. And so cheap!

Answer:	Not sure why they smell like tires or have a chemical odor (maybe because its rubber?). It does seem to smell less almost 2 weeks later but they do still smell. Not sure if washing will help but it's worth a shot.

Answer:	No, you will have to buy it seperately

Answer:	Yes. I know I accidentally spilled some water onto it and I went to wipe it up and completely cleaned the pad and gave it back that black matte color

Answer:	from a band director: if the connector bolt is the same size as the hole threaded in your bell kit, this will work, but this stand lacks the horizontal supports and will wear and bend under the significant leverage of the bell frame. I would get a stand made specifically for the bell kit. This stand is best suited for use with practice pads. It is a dream for that, but only that.

Answer:	We have had it for almost a year. And it has lasted for a 10 year old boy pretty well. I am not sure if it will work for a 6 inch or not. It should say in the description.

Answer:	I dont want to tell you yes since I haven't tried it but I measured the rim from the bottom to the highest point and that is 1.22in.It seems like it should fit though.It's a solid rim that's for sure.Hope this helps.
