Tuning

Bongo drum tuning, we have included a Bongo drum tuning wrench, just unscrew the bottom rubber drum leg and adjust the screw with the tuning wrench to adjust the Bongo drum tone.

Siamese structure

There is a wooden link in the middle of the bongo drum. This link uses rivets and glue to link the treble and bass drums together. Question:	Are these shipped in an Amazon box
Answer:	Gary, I would assume so. There is room to spare in each of the drum cases for standard sizes. I have a 5 piece Yamaha stage custom (Birch) set and these drums still had room in the cases. The Floor Tom case says it is 16 inch but my 17 Tom fit perfectly. That is really a difference of 1/2 inch per side. I think they will fit. You may have to consider the extended drum mount. My Toms have drum mounts that extend pretty far and they still all fit just fine.

Answer:	These drums have been tuned a little loosen to keep them from falling apart during shipping. Tighten all of the bolts around each drum one full turn. Remember to move in a circular pattern around each drum. Once you've given each bolt a full turn, the tone will begin to sound more like what you'd expect from bongos.

Question:	Do you sell replacement animal hides
Answer:	Absolutely. My 1 1/2 and 4 1/2 had great fun with it but a 6 year old would get a lot more out of it. It's a good musical instrument not just a toy.
Question:	It comes with a tuning wrench. How do you know if it is in or out of tune
Answer:	is the drum topmade from animal orplastic?

Answer:	I think you could. It's a very sturdy drum. My 5 and 3 year olds have played with it for several years - they haven't been careful with it by any means - and it's held up REALLY well. I guess it depends in how hard you intend to hit it with the regular drum sticks. I'm sure my boys have hit it with other items than the sticks provided and ours hasn't broken. In fact, it still looks brand new.
Question:	When bongos received skins had discoloration. Is this normal or are these used drums. Do not lik3 in picture as a pure white color

Answer:	Mine looked new. I think the natural skin has a color to it as opposed to pure white. When I think of hides that I have seen, it looks similar to the color of the drums. I am very happy with the drums.
