Answer:	Good question and yes it’s a small shank. Like you I didn’t know and had to do quite a bit of research to figure that out. Hope my answer helps and that the product works out for you.

Answer:	If it's a true euphonium, you would need a large bore adapter. This mouthpiece has a standard size mouthpiece shank, so it will be too small for a euphonium which has a large shank mouthpiece receiver. They make adapters which would allow you to use this mouthpiece, but you would probably be better off with large shank mouthpiece.

Answer:	yes - it will fit most baritone horns, but not most euphoniums. Will also fit small bore trombones, but not most large bore horns, at least not without an adapter.

Answer:	No it’s smaller, do not purchase!! There is no playing on tuning slides, or key pistons

Answer:	Everything on the one I purchased seems to be in specification. No internal anomalies that I can see, and the outside is finished as is any new horn purchased in person. The tuning is a tad off, so more than usual adjustment has to take place for beginners that yet lack the skill to tune with their mouth.

Answer:	The valve guide's are cheap plastic, and once broken are virtually irreplaceable. Even with perfect maintenance, these parts wear fast. Our's lasted about a year, and once the guide broke, we and any shop we went to could not find a replacement, and we tried all major manufactures.

Answer:	It plays bass or treble depending on your preference or location and it is in Bb so I has the same fingerings as those instruments.

Answer:	It is the same pitch as an American Baritone horn or Euphonium. It is smaller bore and much lighter weight. So it is not a "3/4 size" of another kind of instrument, such as an American baritone/euphonium, but a completely different instrument of the same pitch. Much easier to hold up than the heavier/larger euphonium, and with a lighter tone. Fully useful for any standard baritone or euphonium band part, but with a lighter sound.
