Our Story

Brother and Sister, Frank and Nikki Mocerino founded The Ohm Store with the singing bowl. Going beyond its purpose as a powerful mindfulness tool, the singing bowl brought them a sense of connectedness to something bigger. There was something inspiring about practicing a Nepalese mindfulness ritual with a singing bowl that was hand-hammered by someone 7000 miles away.

Answer:	I’m Not sure if this is actually Made in Tibet or not but it is a rather good singing bowl. Has a deep striking resonance to it along with a melodious vibration when running striker a round the rim. I have purchased numerous bowls of this type through amazon have personally 8 and have gifted almost double that. 70% have been great and the others duds were returned. This is not a dud you will be pleased with this purchase I believe.

Answer:	Mine when stricken is an E and A when singing it’s mostly just E. No bowls are really a lite tone except maybe the crystal ones. Yet the metal will predominantly resonate at one or two tones and same when singing. Advantage is that you can work with more than one chakra while still focusing on the one you want. Suggest a tuner to test the note and find the bowl that is specific to what you predominately want to work with

Answer:	When I used a tuner, it registered as a B note. I also used the audio spectrum app and it peaked at 1000 Hz. So these values would be aligned with the crown chakra. This bowl is hand held - great for travel - so even if my note and audio values are off, it would still be for the higher chakras. Hope this helps! It’s a nice little bowl.

Answer:	Find a quiet place and relax; hold it with your palm; knock the singing bowl edge with the leather end of the stick. You will get a beautiful sound. And then to gently slide the other end of the stick on the outer edge of the bowl. It will create a longer lasting peaceful sound. The second one is a little bit hard for beginners. Please try more times and you will get there eventually.

Question:	I am confused. it says "set", but is it just one bowl or a set? also, the gold says "b crown"...is it actually the b note
Answer:	I’d suggest something a bit louder and irritating than this item, for that use. Perhaps an air horn, cymbal, or whistle... This is a small singing bowl. The strikes aren’t particularly loud. The sustained singing sound isn’t either. It’s relaxing. It might help them quiet down, if they want to try to chill. But, I think you’re looking for something with more umph.
