Answer:	I have the mpd218 and it goes by how hard you press the button, there is a button labeled "full level" when it's lit no matter how soft or hard you hit the button its at the loudest level, make sure that button is not on

Answer:	SR-16: Not without an AC inverter (you can run from your car battery with an inverter, but not realistically from AA cells etc) SR-18: You can run this off batteries IF you have a 12Vdc battery source that can supply more than 600milliamps (like a bank of D cells, lantern battery or car battery) and a power connector with the correct polarity (these are easy to get from amazon and wire yourself)

Answer:	I don’t know if I’ve just been lucky with mine but I have not experienced dropped notes (unless I accidentally missed the key.) You do have to play a tad more heavy handed but I’m very happy with mine.

Answer:	Those 12 outputs are for routing or recording the different pieces in isolation. If none of the individual outputs are used, all sounds go through the single mix output.
Question:	Is it a 1/4" mix output, and could i plug it into an rca splitter to a mixer in a vinyl turntable setup
Answer:	Yes it is 1/4" output. As long as you have a 1/4" to use (or an adapter to change 1/4" to RCA) then sure it would work fine.

Answer:	Nope - This is a drum machine that does not have any sampling capabilities. :)

Answer:	Yes. It can be connected to a computer via USB. Is there an app that lets you program the drums?... Kinda. It has to be done using MIDI on the computer over USB. So any MIDI program should be able to trigger and play this drum machine from the computer. Mostly this would be a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) program like Abelton Live, Reaper, FL Studio, Reason, Logic Pro, etc... There are also several MIDI sequencer programs on the market that are designed specifically to trigger drum machines.

Question:	Can i plug this into a recording program? such as presonus/studio one and be able to lay tracks
Answer:	Yes. Any product with a usb out and midi advertised allows you to connect and use it with any major recording program (DAW software) on the market today - generally most OS (Windows, Mac, Linux) these days will work out of the box without installing drivers. It will translate trigger and pressure response into midi signals and whatever drum kit or other instrument patch you wish to hook into in your software will be recognized with it. Just be aware that with most midi controllers you will be manually programming which pads correspond to which instrument notes in software - they often don't work out of the box perfectly without a good deal of tinkering to make each pad correspond to the specific drum you want. But there are many guides online on how to do this.

Question:	I'm an adult that is thinking about picking up the drums but I have almost no experience with them at all. Would this kit be a good place to start? How applicable would the progress I make be to a real drum set? Unfortunately, I live in an apartment and a real drum set isn't an option presently
Answer:	This is a great set. Sounds like my $1500 electronic drum set on my keyboard amp or headphones. You'll want to get really good headphones, but this is a great system to start on. I had to make a stand to anchor the foot pedals. And even then, the high hat and kicker don't fire every time. But I felt I got my money's worth. I've since upgraded to a Yamaha dtx-562. But that cost about ten times as much. Have fun! :-)
Question:	Will this make me be able to play exactly like Neil Peart? Or do I have to spend more on a better kit

It’s a great unit and you can get a cheap solid-state drive and put it in yourself and expand your sound options. I got a 1 GB drive pretty cheaply on Amazon. Make sure you look on the website to see what external drives are compatible. It has 16 GB of memory which may be OK for a small live performance, but you’ll probably want to upgrade the internals drive. Great unit! And it also really sounds amazing! Good luck and make great music ! This is worth buying.. One last thing… If you are going to take it lives, it’s not that expensive to buy the protected travel case. You don’t want to spend this kind of money and diamonds it. Spend the extra few dollars and get the protected travel case…

Answer:	At the end just before the AMP. Note that some heavy ethereal effects may make it difficult for the unit to program "on the fly" by strumming.

Answer:	No. I mean I think what you mean is can you use JamManager to store stuff created on SDRUM or load stuff on to SDRUm from JamManager? That would be great. In fact, a software editor/manager is one of the first things I've asked Digitech about for the SDRUM.

Question:	Does it save the loop when powered off? Previous question had conflicting answers
Answer:	To be completely frank, I despise this pedal. I don't know how it has gotten so many positive reviews. But to answer your question, sometimes it saves them (when you're trying to get red of them, which is most of the time) and sometimes not. Sometimes, powering it off (completeing disconnecting it) is what I had to resort to get rid of a loop. It sometimes worked on the first try and sometimes the loop was still there. The loop function is not intuitive and does not work as well as many cheaper loop pedals. Of course, they don't include the even more horrendous feature of this pedal. The drum machine. The drum machine beats are worthless and almost all sound horrible. None sound "good" or at least of an acceptable quality or skill level to be of any real use (particularly at a gig). I would compare the sound and beats to the cheapest lowest quality children's drum kit thrown into a large metal trash can and rolled down a flight of stairs and recorded through an 80's gated reverb effect. I've been a professional, gigging musician for a long time and this is by far the most disappointing and useless piece of gear I think I've ever purchased although it has given some friends of my mine a few laughs at literally my expense.

3 Modes of Drum Machine/Looper

LOOPER

In this mode, only the looper will be activated. Rotate the LOOPER knob to adjust the recording volume level of the looper. Press the footswitch to control the looper.

DRUM

In this mode, only the drum machine will be activated.

LOOPER & DRUM

Looper and drum machine will be active simultaneously.

LOOPER

REC: Press the footswitch once and begin playing your instrument. The looper will record what you play, the footswitch LED will turn RED.

PLAYBACK: Press the footswitch again to stop recording and begin to playback of the loop, the footswitch LED will turn BLUE. In this state the looper will continuously playback the looper you just recorded. You can jam away over the top of this loop without adding to it.

DUB: In this state the looper will record and add an extra layer to your loop. When the looper is in playback state, press footswitch again to dub, the footswitch LED will turn RED. The looper will record what you play and add it to your loop as an additional layer Press the footswitch again to exit dub and revert back to playback state.

DRUM

1. Rotate the GENRE and PATTERN knobs to select the desired style and rhythm of the drum machine.

2. Press TAP several times in-time to set the desired tempo of the drum machine. The blinking rate of the TAP LED will indicate the current speed.

3. Press the footswitch to activate the drum machine. Rotate the Drum knob to adjust the volume level of the drum machine.

4. Press the footswitch while drum loop is playing to stop.

DRUM & LOOPER

1. Utilize GENRE and PATTERN knobs to select the desired drum machine type.

2. Press TAP several times in-time to set the desired tempo of the drum machine. The blinking rate of the TAP LED will indicate the current speed.

3. Press the footswitch to activate L+D mode. The count-in will play to indicate the currently selected speed of the drum machine. After the count-in finishes, the looper will start to record while the drum machine begins playing.

4. The operation of L+D is the same of that in looper mode. The tempo of the drum machine cannot be changed during play. You can adjust the volume level of the looper and drum machine by adjusting the LOOPER and DRUM knobs during play.

5. The looper and drum will stop and start simultaneously in the L+D mode.

INSTRUCTIONS

• The LOOPER and DRUM machine can be used simultaneously. It is recommended to set the groove of the DRUM machine first before selecting the LOOPER mode for recording.

• We recommend to place the FS01 as the last pedal in your pedalboard or effects chain to ensure other pedals will not be affected by the FS01.

Drum Machine Mode

In DRUM mode, FC01 will only make use of the drum machine.

Select DRUM by MODE SWITCH, choose the drum groove you wish to play by RYHTM STYLE SELECTOR. Set the tempo of the drum machine by pressing the TAP TEMPO button in time.

Looper Mode

In LOOPER mode, FC01 will let you use the pedal as a standalone looper. Select LOOPER using the MODE SWITCH to enter LOOPER mode. The LOOPER has 4 basic states when creating loops, RECORD, PLAY, DUB and STOP.

Drum + Looper Mode

In Loop & Drum mode, FC01 will let you use the LOOPER and the DRUM machine simultaneously.

In this mode, FC01 will synchronize the recording to the drum machine. After recording a loop the drum machine can be changed using the RHYTHM STYLE control.

1. FOOTSWITCH: Press one, press twice quickly, press and hold, three different moves to access different control.
