User questions & answers
Question: | Is it worth the extra $300 to get the Rumble 500 head and the 410 and 115 cab, rather than the combo + the 115 extension |
Answer: | I have the 210 combo and 115 extension. The 115 comes with wheels and I put the 210 on a rock and roller cart. Extremely portable and very loud, it will get louder than your ears can stand. I would say the combo and 115 are plenty. Not worth getting the head and 410, just a waste of money and more weight to carry around. |
Question: | As a stand alone unit, are the 210's pushing 500 watts, or do you need to attach another cabinet at lower ohms to get your 500 watts |
Answer: | As a standalone unit the two 10 inch speakers are pushing 350 Watts at 8 ohms (Internal). You need to attach an external 8 ohm speaker cabinet to get 500 Watts. Attaching the external 8 ohm speaker cabinet brings the total impedance down to 4 ohms and that is when you get the maximum 500 Watts. |
Question: | I'm helping a friend pick out a bass & amp for her son. Would this amp be loud enough for a small entry-level garage band |
Answer: | I remember way back when I was in my first band. I had an ampeg B-15 and it was woefully underpowered. All I got out of it was a ton of distortion. It can be very frustrating for a new player to have to deal with poor sound. I’ve known guys who have given up playing because of the frustration of dealing with noise instead of music. I would use a 25w amp for practicing by myself but for a garage band I would go with a minimum of 100w. |
Question: | is this amp usable in new zealand |
Answer: | I turned mine upside down and it still worked so I suppose it will be OK down there. (On mine, input power is marked 100-120V @ 50-60 HZ, 70W.) |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the cabinet rated at 8 ohm or 4 ohm |
Answer: | Philossifer, Speaker 2x10" at 8 ohm .. The question should be, is it worth the money & performance? Yes Most Excellent. I do play my Fender Jazz Bass on occasion but prefer this amp over my Fender Champion 100 2X12" for playing my Telecaster & Stratocaster with pedals thru this little Ampeg. the quality of sound will blow you away, just my opinion. ziggy |
Question: | all in got was the top part, is this correct? now I need to but the bottom |
Answer: | You should have gotten both parts. That's what makes it a "Stack"... Did you order direct from Amazon? |
Question: | Can you put foot pedals in it |
Answer: | I had mine returned because the bottom speaker was blown, but from what I do remember it did not have additional input output for foot pedals. You would be better off with the Ampeg 115v2 bass amp. That is what I got to instead. It has the foot pedal in/output, and is only an extra $50 for 100 extra amps. It is a great all around amp. |
Question: | bought this for my nephew but only the top part in the photo came. so I guess I need to order the bottom half now, is this correct? the bottom isn't here yet, thanks for the info!!!! disregard my other question couldn't find the answer at first...lol |
Answer: | When I ordered this amp it was delivered to me with the head and cabinet (the top part and bottom part) so it's strange to me why you were only given the head (top part)This amp has a more expensive brother, the Micro AV which ships separately; but this order should be together :) |

- Pre-gain control with TransTube gain boost
- Three-band EQ with Overdrive, Contour, Mid-Shift, Bright, and Kosmos-C switches
User questions & answers
Question: | what are its dimensions and does it come with a power supply |
Answer: | The combo is 18" high, 15.7" wide, and 13.2" deep. It comes with a standard 120VAC power cable. |
Question: | What is the speaker wattage of the max 100? Is it a100 watt |
Answer: | No, it’s a 50 watt. |
Question: | What is the weight of this amp? Specs say 1 lb, but that's highly unlikely |
Answer: | Very unlikely. ;) Even so, I double-checked the weight on my bathroom scale. It's a VERY manageable 25 pounds (or 11.3 kilograms). |
Question: | Can a microphone also be hook up for playing the guitar and sing at the same time? Thanks |
Answer: | Short answer: Maybe. Longer answer: There's an Auxiliary Input (3.5mm) that's normally for audio input from an iPod/phone/external music source. You might be able to plug in a microphone with a 3.5mm plug, but I don't know if the signal would be strong enough to complete with the bass. You might be better off dropping Peavey a note and getting your answer direct from them. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this amp have a fan |
Answer: | I'm honestly unsure. If it does, I've never, ever heard it running. I've played indoors and outdoors - cooler weather (say 50degF) and warmer weather (say 90degF) and never ran into any temp-related issues in that range. I use it with my bass guitar. |
Question: | Loud enough to play live |
Answer: | Maybe in a small indoor venue. The 100 watt would fair better. |
Question: | Could I run a drop tubes 7 string guitar through this |
Answer: | Sorry; I'm a little familiar with a Drop D; Drop A; etc., on a 7 string but not with Drop Tubes. Ultimately, you can play a guitar 6 string, 7 string, 12 string through a bass amp, but you're going to lose sound quality. |
Question: | Hello I need to use it in Argentina, there the voltage is 220v, which should I modify in the amplifier |
Answer: | You need to change the fuse in the back panel only. It is also rated for 220V when you change the fuse to the value on the sticker on the back pane. I will use the amp in Germany where we also have 220V. |

Orange Crush Bass 50
From warm modern cleans, through to vintage grind and all the way up to full-on distorted mayhem, the Crush Bass 50 combines the essentials of a practice rig with tone and features normally reserved for the pros. The Crush Bass 50 draws inspiration from our flagship OB1 and 4 Stroke amplifiers, bringing some of the defining elements of each into a compact combo.
Like the rest of the Crush Bass range, this 50 Watt model delivers bold and punchy lows courtesy of its analogue circuitry and ported cabinetry. The extremely flexible active EQ section includes a sweepable parametric mid band, allowing players to shape their signature sound without limitations. For even more versatility, the interactive Gain and Blend controls are primed for creating enormous ‘bi-amped’-style tones with ease, adding extra harmonics and variable levels of grit to the core bass tone. They can also be switched in remotely using the optional footswitch. Other handy features include a buffered effects loop, integrated tuner, aux. input and a headphone output with our Cabsim circuitry.
Ever since the founding of the company in 1968, Orange has been a pioneering force in the guitar amplification industry. Our commitment to craftsmanship and quality control has allowed our amplifiers to stand the test of time, giving their owners as much pleasure now, as the day they were bought. Today, with a team of the world’s finest amplifier engineers, Orange continues to push back the boundaries of conventional amplifier design.
Powerful Active Parametric EQ
The Crush Bass 50 features an EQ circuit inspired by our prestigious 4 Stroke Series amplifiers. At its centre is a parametric mid band. This presents players with a much greater degree of control over the sound than a traditional EQ, allowing them to vary the frequencies they want hear. The mid band covers a wide range, sweeping from 300Hz (fully counter-clockwise) to 2.7kHz (fully clockwise), meaning this amp can be fine tuned to suit any musical style. The active circuitry allows for up to 15dB of boost or cut on the bass and middle frequencies, and up to 20dB on the treble side.
Blend & Gain
Lifted straight from our popular OB1 Series amps, the Blend and Gain controls are a nod to the many bass players who experiment with guitar and bass amps simultaneously. In this ‘bi-amped’ setup, layers of harmonics and distortion from the guitar amp are blended with the core bass tone to create the ultimate full-range live sound. The Crush Bass 50’s Gain and Blend controls create the same effect in a single package, adding extra bite and crispness to the tone at lower gain settings, right up to all-out filth with the dials cranked. These controls can also be engaged remotely with the optional FS-1 footswitch, ideal for fattening your tone on the fly.
Analogue Design & Ported Cabinet
The Crush Bass series delivers fat, rounded sound thanks to an all analogue signal path. The Crush Bass 50 houses a 12” speaker with a reflex port for improved low-end response. The buffered effects loop has been engineered for maximum transparency, ensuring your pedal arsenal will perform to its peak.
Cabsim Headphone Output, Aux Input & Chromatic Tuner
The headphone output features our Cabsim circuitry which emulates the response of our stage-ready OBC bass speaker cabinets during silent practice. This signal can also be sent to a console for seriously authentic direct recording. The Aux. Input allows for connecting external audio sources for backing tracks whilst the handy onboard tuner makes for quick tune-ups between jams.
Brian 'Head' Welch - KoRn
“KoRn has always been in the game of matching different amp tones and blending them together in the studio. And Orange has always been right there in the mix!"
Sergio Vega - Bass Player for Deftones/Quicksand
"This sounds really meaty. We tweaked it [the Crush Bass combo] for a about 30 seconds tops and we got a great sound without investing much time into it. With the Crush Bass 50, I see myself using it on home, recording with it, taking it on the road, recording at the hotel. This thing sounds really good. I could use this live in certain capacities and certain gigs and I wouldn’t have any issue bringing this into a space."
Glenn Hughes - Bassist for Deep Purple
"You can go in the studio, take that bass combo and make your album with something like that, it’s truly outstanding. It’s gritty, it’s punchy, sustain is so important and it’s certainly got all that."

Question: | I see there is mention of adding another cab to this combo. How would one do that? I see no output for an extra cab |
Answer: | According to the listing, and looking at what the cab itself provides, there isn't a way to hook up an external speaker to this unit without doing any warranty voiding work. Thanks for your interest. Y2PLAY Stores 1-800-695-4808 |

Orange Crush Bass 100
Taking elements from our flagship 4 Stroke and OB1 series bass amps, and with enough power for smaller venues, the Crush Bass 100 is a seriously versatile combo in both sound and application. Using high-end engineering techniques not usually found on combos of this type, the key to the Crush Bass 100’s immensely fat and detailed tone is the amplifier’s 100 Watt output section. The choice of discrete components (rather than common integrated circuits) gives the amp sensational levels of clarity across the entire spectrum, and the internal 15” speaker means that even the most subterranean frequencies come through loud and clear.
Coupled to the output stage is an equally powerful preamp. The active EQ section with its sweepable parametric mid band allows players to fine tune the Crush Bass 100 to any style, plus our ‘bi-amp’ inspired Gain and Blend circuit adds even more tonal variety. These interactive controls add extra harmonic content and variable levels of grit to the core bass tone, perfect for creating earthy vintage riffs or even savagely distorted mayhem, without ever losing the all-important low end. They can also be switched in remotely via the optional footswitch. Along with a balanced line output, the Crush Bass 100 also has a buffered effects loop, an integrated tuner, aux. input and a Cabsim-loaded headphone output for silent practice. From the bedroom to the stage, this amp covers all bases.
Ever since the founding of the company in 1968, Orange has been a pioneering force in the guitar amplification industry. User questions & answers
Question: | Is this amp 220 voltage |
Answer: | This strap is very strong all around |
Question: | Would this be a good app for my keyboard |
Answer: | No, it's ready to use when you receive it. |
Question: | Does the 20 watt bass amp come with a power cable (one you plug into the outlet)? Thank you |
Answer: | Yes, it is a great invention, I don't need to worry about droping picks anymore. |
Question: | Will this work with a pick up on a double bass |
Answer: | Well, yes, OF COURSE YOU CAN. Not sure why you are asking. In what way would you presume that you might be prevented from putting your own picks in the pocket? It's no different from your ability to replace the shoestrings that come with a pair of shoes. When the strap arrived, I immediately discarded the 3 flimsy picks that were in the pick-pocket and replaced them with the sturdier medium-gauge picks that I prefer to use. The strap seems to be of good quality, by the way. |

DBA-30 has two timbre channels, and a series of acoustic structure design and circuit adjustment are made for the power amplifier, speaker and box in the sound box for the bass timbre frequency band, so that the sound is warm and elastic. The head of sound is full of power without losing movement. In addition to the regular three-segment EQ, there is gain and sharpness for the distortion channel to adjust the distortion timbre.
Combination of woofer and tweeter
Conventional bass amplifiers only have a large woofer to ensure volume, but the DBA-30 has an 8 "woofer and a 2.5" tweeter. The woofer ensures that the mid and low frequencies sound sweet and elastic, and the tweeter provides enough detail to the sound. In order to avoid the tweeter's influence on the bass sound, the DBA-30 also has a special circuit design for the tweeter's sound, ensuring that the sound is not too cold, but has a warm sound while the detail is rich.

Double Four 70W Bass Combo Amp Red. The Double Four is a single channel bass amplifier that has an auxiliary input for iPad/iPod, mp3 or drum machine. It features 3-band EQ that is perfectly tailored for bass guitar, headphone out jack and a line out for recording. It is ideal for all kinds of basses and can handle the open B string on a 5 string bass with ease. The cabinet may be as small as a shoe box but it is built to the same standards of all PJB cabinets, heavily braced internally and damped with acoustic damping materials to prevent cabinet coloration that can kill the true sound of your instrument. What you hear from the Double Four is the closest you can get to how your instrument actually sounds. The Double Four may just be a practice amp but it does not mean that it has to sound like a practice amp.
