Quick Start with 3 steps

1. Hold the binoculars with both hands and looking at a distant object.

Carefully and slowly move the binocular tubes downward or upward Until left and right fields are correctly aligned.

You'll See them are forming an oval circle in your sight.

2. It's now focused on your left eye and you will have to close your right eye. Look at an object through the left eyepiece with your left eye.

Rotate focusing ring until your left eye sees a sharp image of it.

3. It's now close to your left eye. Looking through the right eye and right eyepiece of the binoculars, adjust the diopter to focus the image of the object.

Rotate the diopter to get the final image.

Answer:	For star gazing you want a brighter image at night than these (or most) binoculars have. You can tell how bright the night image should be (if they are well made) by taking the second number, 42 in this case, and divide it by the first number, 12 in this case. That division would give you 3.5 for these binoculars. Ideally you would like to get it to be 6 to 7. You can get a higher number 2 ways. If you make the second number higher, which comes by making the front lenses much bigger, you get a big expensive set of binoculars that are a pain to carry but have an awesome view of the night sky. The other way is to make the first number (which is the magnification or power) lower. So if you got 6 power binoculars with the same size front lenses as these (6x42) you would get binoculars that are the same size and price as these, much brighter at night, but only make things look half as big as these do. For the sun, any good binoculars with high quality solar filters work (if one breaks or falls off you can lose your sight in that eye!).

Answer:	It will work with any phone small enough to fit the included tripod adapter. Also, you need to get the lens of your phone camera right up against the eyepiece lens. My phone is a Moto X Pure Edition, and the tripod adapter just barely opens wide enough to hold it. I have an after-market protective case on my phone, so the lens won't go all the way up against the eyepiece. It works, but I only get a circular image in the middle of the phone screen. It quality of the image is excellent, and it'll work if you can figure it out and solve these two problems.

Answer:	People often confuse 'low light' observation with the more technical (and much more expensive) military application of 'night vision' which involves injecting illumination, not visible to the naked eye, into the viewing process. 'Low light', evening or highly shadowed, viewing involves using the ambient or current natural light available for viewing. Successful viewing under these conditions is entirely dependent upon the lens coating(s) and light capturing ability of the particular lenses used. Not only do our Aurosports 10X25's do a really nice job during the evening hours (we don't have much shade . . . until the leaves return in the Spring), but, at night, when viewing an illuminated distant objective, it's amazing just how expansive the viewed area becomes and how crisp and clear the close-up viewing becomes. I had also bought a more expensive pair of 10X42 binoculars for myself - since my wife is a bit overly protective of her Aurosports - and in low light viewing the Aurosports leave them in the dust. Answer:	If you are referring to infra red night vision the answer is no. But the ability to gather light in a telescope/binocular is dependent upon the aperture of the objective lens. The human eye is capable of expanding to about 7mm so that limits its light gathering power at night. These binoculars have 25 mm objective lenses so you notice a big improvement in night vision over the naked eye. By same token, a 35 mmm or 50 mm binocular will have more light gathering power than these binoculars.

Answer:	NO. The way that people are describing this simply means that the front Objective lens is large, which allows more light into the optical viewer. There are some common sizes of front objective lenses for binoculars and monoculars listed below and they are compared to this 60mm viewer. The explanation should help everyone figure out why the larger objective, the more light, thus; the brighter the image, and the better one can see in low light, mostly at dusk or bright moonlight. 7x35 binoculars have been considered as good night vision on bright moonlight nights, and are better than 10 x 50 binoculars. In other words, 7x35 allows a brighter image, but the target is not as large from magnification. With 7x35, one can see into the shadows better than 10X50. One can see from the math that 7x35 (7 magnification by 35mm front objective lens) light entry to the viewing device is very inferior to 60mm. There is a caveat to it all: If the 60mm or any viewer without night vision is adjusted to higher than what viewing device it is compared to, the light value drops significantly. In other words: The 60mm if adjusted to 7 power, like 7x35 binoculars is far superior with bright vision than the 7x35 because of the large objective. Adjusting to higher power will darken the view. Answer:	Well, i will answer your question. At first, these binoculars have a short eye relief distance that means you can roll down the eye cup to adjust the distance. If your vision is not too bad, i can make sure you will view things clearly if you use them without your glasses, just focus the left eye with the center focus wheel and use the dioptre setting on the right lense to focus the right eye. Of course, if your vision is too bad, it doesn’t matter if you wear glasses. In fact, you can see more field if you wear glass. Hope this helps.
