Answer: | Not As focused on building muscle as Body Beast. I like the RIPT programs, but the workouts aren’t as long or as intense, from a weightlifting perspective. I think RIPT does give better core work and there feels like more overall conditioning. For example, on program called Hard Core Chest alternates chest and core exercises. So body building goes to Body Beast, more core and total body fitness goes to the RIPT programs, based on my experience. |

Answer: | I think it depends on your goals. RIPT90 was more cardio-core focused. FIT has a greater strength training emphasis, though you will burn calories and work your core. There’s not as much of an ab focus in FIT and I found I needed to add some of my own. I liked FIT for the strength aspect and would do that again before the original. |

Answer: | I wouldn't say jumping as in bouncing/both feet off the ground. You do switch feet and move around quite a bit, so if you have sensitive neighbors you might want a different or outdoor workout plan. I'm small and lightweight so I'm pretty low impact, but I do the workout for the cardio benefits. |

Answer: | If you want to gain muscle, I would suggest doing more of a weight lifting program like P90X. In the Insanity program, you do not use any weights, but will use your own body weight. you will likely increase your cardiovascular strength but the program does not use any weights, so you will not bulk up muscle at all. Answer: | Hi April, I think they are different. I have tried P90x and I didn't care for it. I had the bands to work with however were other equipment I didn't have that really made it hard to do the whole DVD. I wouldn't say one is better than the other I would just say which one is right for you. I really need to build up my cardio and that is what Insanity is doing for me. I also feel like insanity goes faster. I am already tired after the warm up but the DVD seems to go by faster. With P90X it seemed to drag but that could just be me. I haven't done P90x in almost 2 years. |
