Question: has anybody lost any weight with this program
Answer: I find this program fun but I have done all P90X programs, T25 and to be honest while this is fun I found I loss muscle tone. I am not sure why maybe it's the diet and compared to the other programs for me this may have not worked with my body. I did enjoy it but I need to tone back up. I think it's great workout for a change but for some reason I lost muscle tone in my body.

Answer: are you currently doing a program? how active are you? Piyo isn't like any other program. If your used to crazy cardio, running. this isn't that. if your used to yoga, this isn't that. If your used to lifting weights at the gym....this isn't that. Even bodyweight exercises like insanity don't provide what Piyo does. Thats whats so great about piyo. I have been taking piyo live classes for about a year. I became a certified instructor a few months ago because I love this format. Its great for beginners because its low impact and really takes you through the moves and modifications and has great progression. If you are more active, this may seem slow the first few weeks. (20 minute workouts) the reason for this, is because most people don't have the wrist and joint strength to be in these positions for longer... You still get a great workout, work on flexibility, range of motion, strengthens you from the inside out so you REALLY have to give it the full 60 days before you can see any outside transformation. This is a TOTAL BODY wellness program. She moves quickly from move to move and even the modified versions might be uncomfortable. I do love Hannah though...she is brash and fun. Answer: She gives you three options, so you can start off with no weights, all exercises are 20 minutes and there is also 5 minute ones. It comes with a booklet that you follow. It has a chart you follow daily, that has beginner, intermediate and advance. Each DVD has 3- 20 minute and 2 -5 minute, so you choose what level you are at.

Question: Is the instructors voice of poor quality or might it have been a bad DVD
Answer: If you want to gain muscle, I would suggest doing more of a weight lifting program like P90X. In the Insanity program, you do not use any weights, but will use your own body weight. you will likely increase your cardiovascular strength but the program does not use any weights, so you will not bulk up muscle at all. Question: Are the work-out sections done to a complete song or is he just teaching one move with short music and then goes to teach another move
Answer: Hi April, I think they are different. I have tried P90x and I didn't care for it. I had the bands to work with however were other equipment I didn't have that really made it hard to do the whole DVD. I wouldn't say one is better than the other I would just say which one is right for you. I really need to build up my cardio and that is what Insanity is doing for me. I also feel like insanity goes faster. I am already tired after the warm up but the DVD seems to go by faster. With P90X it seemed to drag but that could just be me. I haven't done P90x in almost 2 years.

Answer: I do Zumba and that is hard on my knees with the mats they use but this workout hasn't given me any problems at all. Sore muscles but I like that!
Question: Is there a warm-up and cool down included? How long are they
Answer: It's been a while since I've done them ... but my recollection is that you do it up to 3 times per week. You will be pleasantly surprised, as this is a great workout! Even if you're a beginner, you can do it. One suggestion ... the lady can be kind of annoying, so I turn down the volume and do the workout with my own music :)
Question: Is it one dvd of exercises or more than one dvd
Answer: Sort of. The last 6min of the Ramp it up and Burn it up DVDs is Stretching with Yoga influenced moves. Think Down Dog and Exhaulted Warrior.... There is also a separate short Stretch program with Yoga type stretching... But it isn't very long. Hope that helps.
Question: Are you on the floor alot
Answer: The workouts are extremely low impact, but I would recommend this: as the workouts are about thirty minutes each, if you can walk at a casual pace for ninety minutes - half the workout for three times the length - you should be able to do these workouts. Also, on the first disc (Start It Up!) there are two bonus workouts: Thin Thighs Guaranteed, and Cardio Core Express. You may want to begin with the Cardio Core Express workout first, as it will help build your stamina.

Answer: The videos have 4 different girls doing the same workout just at different levels so you can pick which every level fits you. I like it a lot!

Answer: Whatever you need for your ability. You can also use resistance bands. I personally have hand weights/Dumbbells from 3-15lbs that I use. For the most part I use the 8 and 10 lb weights the most but it does depend on the muscle group.

Answer: Hi Jenny. Stephanie from X-TrainFit here. The only equipment needed is dumbbells and/or resistance bands. Yoga mat is recommended but not required. There are some stability ball options shown, but one is not required. I hope this helps.
Question: This is for woman’s or for man too
Answer: I just finished the first week and not much jumping at all. For the very few parts that do include a jump type movement there is a person doing the modified version. I did insanity and it killed my knees, this wasn't hard on them at all. It is actually very low impact. A little too low for me. I think I need something between this and insanity. Thus wasn't enough to feel like a good workout for me, but insanity was too much.

Answer: The box was pretty big, and heavy to boot. I’d estimate 5 feet x 5 feet by 3 feet? I think the weight was 150+ pounds.

Question: Is this a good program to use if you arr over 60 and have knee Problems
Answer: I live in a studio loft and I don't have enough room. There are a few sequences where you will need to do a run pace back and forth and in a couple sequences you have to do back and forth ground and standing position work and you need more than 3 ft of space.
Question: Do the strength training dvds that are not "cardio" include cardio segments? or are they strictly strength training
Answer: yes it does require jumping. However, I modify by using my mini trampoline for jumping jacks and running in place. I also modify the burpees by eliminating the jumping.

We do 6 different exercises (3 cardio, 3 toning) starting with a 20 rep count and working our way down from there.
