Creating a Kindle eBook with a focus on arts photography involves a thoughtful combination of visual elements and literary expression. Here are some key considerations:
High-Quality Images:
- Ensure your photographs are of high resolution and clarity. Kindle devices support color images, so you can take advantage of vibrant visuals.
Formatting for Kindle:
- Kindle eBooks have specific formatting requirements. Optimize your images for the Kindle format, considering how they will appear on various devices.
Balancing Text and Images:
- Strike a balance between text and images. If your eBook includes descriptions, stories, or information about the photographs, ensure it complements rather than overwhelms the visual content.
Cover Design:
- Design a compelling cover that represents the essence of your arts photography. Kindle readers often judge books by their covers, so make it visually appealing and reflective of your artistic style.
Metadata and Keywords:
- Use relevant keywords and metadata to improve the discoverability of your eBook in the Kindle Store. Consider terms related to photography styles, themes, and your unique approach.
Author Page:
- Create a robust author page on the Kindle Store. Share your background in arts photography, your inspiration, and any relevant credentials. This adds a personal touch and can engage readers.
Pricing and Promotion:
- Determine an appropriate pricing strategy for your eBook. You can experiment with promotional pricing or Kindle Countdown Deals to attract more readers.
Leverage Social Media:
- Use social media platforms to showcase snippets of your arts photography and promote your Kindle eBook. Visual platforms like Instagram can be particularly effective for reaching a photography-oriented audience.
Engage with Readers:
- Encourage readers to leave reviews and provide feedback. Engaging with your audience can help build a community around your work and improve your visibility in the Kindle Store.
Updates and Revisions:
- Kindle allows authors to update their eBooks. If you receive feedback or have new content to add, consider making periodic updates to keep your eBook fresh.
Remember, the Kindle Store is a vast marketplace, so effective marketing and a visually appealing presentation are key to standing out and attracting readers to your arts photography eBook.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can different backdrops be added |
Answer: | You can clip different type of backdrops of your choice (color/material/theme). It doesn't come with additional ones but the permanent one that's built in |
Question: | where can i find a replacement power supply cord |
Answer: | Get this one: UpBright 12V 4.16A AC/DC Adapter. You can find it on Amazon. |
Question: | i just got this and I'm getting bad shadows, is that normal |
Answer: | I have shadows too. If you close the front door and photograph through one of the holes that takes care of it but I can’t do that. Mine has shadows because I’m taking pics through the front and blocking some of the light. I photograph jewelry so I must be over top. This box needs a couple extra lights. I’m trying to find additional lighting that doesn’t cause the horizontal lines to show in my pics. I read somewhere that it’s caused by the speed at which the light is going on and off due to the nature of AC power. If that is the reason we need lights like the ones in the box that complete their full on/off cycle in the time that my camera shutter opens and closes. Maybe that has to do with kHz? I saw somewhere that lights that run at 15khz would take care of this. Still trying to fix it. The first light I got had that flicker sostill searching. |
Question: | Can you purchase a replacemnt backround |
Answer: | If you want to get fancy, the top edge of the included/attached backdrop has one small piece of hook and loop fastener on each side. The installed backdrop measures roughly 29.5 inches wide by 43 inches long. You could purchase anything and trim to size, and attach with adhesive or sew-on hook & loop fastener or simply clip it on with binder clips or the like. |

Optimized Lighting and Imaging Options
Inspired by studio lighting, a main light fills the box, a second light provides directional accent and highlight, and the inside walls bounce fill-light into your object. Each light is daylight balanced at 5600K with high CRI (Color Rendering Index), high output LEDs, for producing good contrast, consistent color, and enough output for handheld photography. Diffusion material protects the LEDs, while softening shadows and eliminating LED-dot-reflections.
The background material is covered with a zero-texture, bright white, durable coating. A top hole allows imaging from above, and the front flap has 3 doors to maximize image angles and bounced fill light, while minimizing outside reflections. (The image at left was captured using a smartphone and a manual camera app with settings of ISO200; S250; WB Auto).
