Answer:	The typical forehead temperature is between 97.5°F – 98.4°F . It is usually about 0.5°F below oral temperature.

Answer:	According to the user manual, the “Lo” means temperature is under the measuring range selected , not low battery. Low battery will be displayed with an empty battery icon. The “Lo” could be caused by measuring room or “air” temperature in “Body” mode. Room temperature of around 75°F is “Lo” as compared to human forehead temperature of between 97.5F°F - 98.4°F .

Answer:	I find that they are not that reliable. I get different temperatures on hard stable surfaces just my pointing away and pointing it back. Also I have compared my handheld with 2 others and none of them read the same. Can be as much as 1 degree different. Not sure which ones are wrong and which one is correct.

Answer:	IR thermometers measure surface temperature. If the heat loss under the concrete causes the surface to be cooler, the 561 can measure that, but it won't measure the temperature through the concrete.
Question:	Wanted to use outside in early morning cold temperatures to monitor employee temperature levels can it function in cold temperatures
Answer:	The laser site has nothing to do with accuracy, it just shows you the area where the average reading is coming from. IR thermometers read surface temperature so they are not the best choice for room air temperature. The Fluke replacement sensor (Velcro pipe surface type) is model Fluke 80PK-11 Type-K Flexible Cuff Thermocouple Temperature Probe, any type K sensor with a mini connector will work for you
