Question:	What type of batteries
Answer:	Yes, it takes three steps. When you finish recording, press the stop button, then the back/"rewind" button immediately to the left of the record button. Then, press play. If you just press play after recording without pressing the back button, all you get is about one second of playback at the end of the recording. I don't see how to do it in two steps. But it would be nice if it worked that way. Maybe Philips could include an option in one of the settings menus that would allow users to select an "auto rewind at end of recording" setting or mode. Wishful thinking. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Question:	how long do batteries last
Answer:	There's no limit on the amount of files per folder. Files can't be named on the recorder itself, only on the computer, when downloaded.

Answer:	Please double check the range. Theoretically, it is infinite; realistically, it is not. Manufacturers website states that for best accuracy, the distance from heat source should be 14.17 inches. All the laser is for is to approximate the area measured. Question:	How easy is it to change from C to F
Answer:	I have not but I see no reason it wouldn't work for some culinary purposes as it is surely more accurate than most oven and burner controls. I did test mine by pointing it at a pan of boiling water and it was spot on 212 degrees. I also calibrated it with melting ice which showed 32 degrees and suggest you perform the same tests. However, many recommended cooking temperatures are given as internal temperatures such as for meat and fish and this device would only read the surface temperature. That might read higher than the internals so I'd avoid using it in that manner.

Answer:	Well I can't verify for sure, but since this thing is most likely made in China, I highly doubt it is bpa free. Just keep it out of your mouth and you should be fine. Hell, wear some gloves or wash your hands after use if it makes you feel better. Seriously, is anyone making bpa hand tools or power tools? I don't think so.

Answer:	Yeah I love this one this one things I didn't know nothing about the biggest thing I like about this you could put this thing straight up in the sky back in the summer it was a one-day 85 degrees it in the morning and I put that thing straight up in the sky was 10.5 degrees so I don't know how far this laser beams goes but I'm blown away but man this I Love It I could check out thunderstorms on this thing and tell me what the temperature is it from the top and I've never had anything to do that that really blows me away this thing is awesome

Answer:	It does but keep in mind the surface of your skin isn't the same as your bodies internal temperature. I actually did try in my coworkers nose, ear and the back of his mouth. The back of his mouth did show a perfect 98.5 but the skin temp ranged from 70s to upper 80's
