Answer: The inch scale is on the bottom of the beam, on the bottom of the slider - vernier scale (helping to measure with 0.001" accuracy). At the top of the beam and slider - centimeter scale and vernier scale.
Question: Do the calipers have serial numbers? i would like to employ them in an iso conforming shop
Answer: I only have one pair of these Vernier calipers, so I'm not sure it the number stamped on the front is a serial number but my best guess is that it is. The pair of FOWLER Vernier calipers that I have will stand up to and of my dial calipers for accuracy.

Answer: Brown & Sharpe tips are pretty standard and interchangeable. Just make sure that the tip length is the same or else you'll get a wrong reading. The tip diameter is a matter of preference.
Question: Can the display be turned off
Answer: One base clamp, two rods, and one indicator clamp. The rods are kind of short. It would be nice if the e ends had been threaded. The two could be connected to together for extra reach. It is a versital kit.
Question: certificate of calibration included
Answer: the smaller one is. The larger dial connects to the arm via the shaft of the indicator. I wish there was a way to connect it differently.
Question: IP67 rated
Answer: I just unscrewed mine and replaced it with a screw from my junk drawer. I only ever use it to get a sense of relative differences. I guess if you replaced it with a very long screw you could take advantage of the leveraging to say the indicator is more sensitive. If you have some good gauge blocks you could even assess whether it's accurate or not.
