Please note though that when your blood perfusion level is low or when your hands are cold, the device may need more time to optimize and register an accurate reading. In this instance, we suggest that you warm your hands and fingers before taking the measurements. You can do this simply by rubbing your hands together. Remember your pulse oximeter is measuring your SpO2 and PR based on your blood flow. If the blood flow in your finger drops below a certain level, the pulse oximeter will not be able to function. Answer:	Yes I have and the heart rate is very close. I have several of these and COPD and this ones heart rate at least the one that I have is very good. On the cell phone app which is called Oximeter the oxygen sensor is way off like 5 points high which is critical and I was told that the cell phone oximeter was more designed for sports than for actual health problems! as an example a five point spread could cause major organ damage do to low oxygen!

This would help if you wanted to capture your desktop like a gamer. The output is only SDI, so you would need to go into an SDI recorder or convert SDI to HDMI if that was your destination. Following that, please also ensure that you keep your hand still because any movement can cause the device to reset its' reading - hence the erratic readings that you see. Additionally, nail polish and false fingernails may also cause false readings. If possible, switch to an unpolished nail or consider another application site.

It does not record or note highest/ lowest readings which I assume would be what you are looking for in a multi-hour overnight model. Answer:	Generally speaking a person only gets to 100% when on medical grade oxygen or if they are suffering from co2 poisoning. co2 will measure the same as o2 with a pulse ox unless you have one the measures both. Not sure why the manufacture did not make it to read 100% since this is a clue that something could be wrong.

Answer:	I was just looking at the accuracy rating of a whole list of these things and all except one said: 70% to 100% accurate. I don't know what that means, but I do know that my relative tends to have cold fingers and the hospital did every single finger, and some toes and the ear of my relative every time, before they settled on a reading, so I am suspecting none of them are considered accurate enough to just accept the reading from one finger.

Answer:	This meter or detector measures oxygen parts in relation to other gaseous parts ie ppm. It simply detects oxygen concentration in contrast to hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide etc. It does not show or measure purity. If its oxygen...its simply oxygen if the gas has some other gases, it obviously is not pure oxygen. So the parts per million with oxygen are simply just that...pure oxygen.
