Question:	Is it good for the dosification of sulfuric acid
Answer:	I will ask my Chemist husband, I'm a Biologist.

Answer:	The separatory funnel is not designed to be heated. The product is made of different material. The glass is borosilicate glass, is heat resistance lab glass. The stopcork is PTFE, and the stopper is PP.
Question:	If connection isn't the right size for what I need would I be able to return it
Answer:	That information should be somewhere in the description. I did not concern myself with that since I knew I'd need a 3 liter but only have room to store a 2 liter size. When I finish with it I will donate it to a local school.
Question:	Is silicon grease needed for the top stopper opening
Answer:	Hi, it doesn't need in general. The opening mouth is standard ground glass 29/32 and stopper is PP, both provide good tightness. The ground glass of stopcock or reagent bottle stopper are widely used in lab. Mostly the tightness is enough. The laber sometimes use vaseline, silicon grease, or parafilm to seal or lubricate the joint for better. This depends on the liquid and specific requirments. Question:	Hi, I'm planning on using this with oil. How do you thoroughly clean this after use
Answer:	I used mine with oils also. I just took it apart wherever possible, and washed it in warm soapy water. Then propped it carefully in different positions until it was thoroughly dried. Drying took quite awhile but seemed to work fine.

Question:	Is this similar to a percolation cone used for making tinctures
Answer:	No. This separatory funnel has a rounded body and a small top opening. it could not be used as a percolation tincturer because you would not be able to pack the powder evenly as is protocol for perk tincturing. You will need a vessel that has a wide opening at the top that tapers down.
Question:	I need to replace the ptfe stopcock as mine has broken and i don't want to have wasted money on my funnel over one part. are there replacements
Answer:	there are but it can be tricky finding the right size. you need both diameters and the length. I have a quite a selection so less trouble for me.

Answer:	The rings are not sized appropriately in my opinion. I would recommend the larger ring to have an inside diameter of 5 inches/13cm and the smaller ring to be 3 inches/7.8cm. The flask,with valve installed, will not pass the existing lower ring diameter.
