Answer:	I don't use it on brass.

Answer:	Use 0.4 - 0.6 mm (~ 0.4 preferred) for surface mount (and similar size) stuff, 0.7 - 1 mm for larger "through-hole" components. For vintage appliances (60-80's), the larger sizes are fine, for modern stuff you can generally use the larger sizes for entry-point connectors and power supply components, but much of the pcb will be surface mount requiring the smaller sizes. Search for "soldering" on Youtube.
Question:	How do you solder. Do you put the solder on the iron than run over the wire or it should just melt on the wire without the iron melting the solder
Answer:	Solder follows heat, but it's important not to burn off all of the flux before it gets to where it needs to go (flux removes oxidation, which allows the solder to make a strong molecular bond with the surface). Putting solder on the tip of the iron first is a guaranteed way to burn off the flux in the solder before you put it where it needs to go. I typically touch the iron to where I want the solder to go, heat the connection, and then bring the solder in to either touch the same joint. On wires the iron will touch the opposite side as the solder - so the solder flows through toward the heat of the iron. In some applications the connection is too small, so I touch the solder to the iron as close as possible to the connection. If I ever need to apply solder to the iron first and then bring it over to a connection, I use a flux pen or paste flux to coat the connection before soldering it.

Answer:	I don't think that they are intended for 12AWG wire but they should work as long as you have a good solder connection. Crimping without solder is not an option. Although I think they will work with 12AWG, I don't recommend them because pressing the metal plug into the sleeve is very difficult.

Answer:	they are metal if gold or not i don't know they look like it. One thing I dont like is that the springs rotate freely around the plug they are not attached so I would think that MAYBE it might be a poorer connection then if it was electrically attached . Note I have several kinds like this and they are all like this and have not had any problems with them.

For joining the wire with heat shirnk butts, you need a heat gun and plier, but for the solder seal coneecotrs, you just need a heat gun, as there is no need to crimp. So, the solder seal connector will be easier to use.  2. Waterproof Resistance. Both of them are waterproof, but there are two hot melt waterproof adhesive rings in the solder seal connectors, which will make it get a better waterproof and seal performance.  3. Flexibility of Use in The Confined Space. The solder seal connectors can be bent after connection and just need a heat gun to control the temperature to finish the joint, so it is more flexable and eaier when joining wire in the confined space.  4. Price. On Kuject, 210Pcs heat shrink butts is $19.99 ($1 for 10 piece) , and 120Pcs solder seal wire connectors is $16.99($1.42 for 10 piece) . The price is cheaper for every piece of the heat shrink butt connectors.  In conclusion, the solder seal connectors have a better performance than the heat shrink butts although it is a little expensive. So, we will recommend to use the solder seal connectors in most case, but it still depend on your needs. Besides, there are two kinds of butt connectors in the market: crimp butt connector & heat shrink butt connector. Maybe you refer to the crimp butts, so we also talk about the crimp butt connector here. Answer:	At least (2) will fit into the largest of the (3) size connectors in this kit. (3) 14 gauge wires might not.
Question:	Can I use the largest size to crimp 3 14 gauge stranded wires together
Answer:	Sure could. These are the fastest and the slickest crimp I've seen yet.

Answer:	No they are not heatshrink! They are crimp pieces.

It is hard for beginners to control the heat shrink temperature when first to try these heat shrink wire connectors. Sometime, exorbitant temperature make the wrap tube melt but the solder ring still not melt, which result in failing to connect the wire. And compare to the old way use solder and heat shrink tubing, you don't need to use the solder iron to solder the wire, also save one step for soldering. So, the solder seal wire connector is solderless & crimpless, which can save much of your time when you are using it for your project. Besides, you can also use them in hard to reach or limited space environments easily.

Step 1

Thread the connector to one of the wires and then twist the two conductor together.

Tips: Please make sure the end of the wire that you strip out is nice and clean (shiny).

Step 2

Move the connector to the middle of the conductor.

Tips: Make sure you strip out the end of the wire long enough for them to overlap one another and stay in the area of the solder sleeve.

Step 3

Apply heat to the connector slowly and evenly with a heat gun with reflector nozzle until it melt with the wire.

Tips: Some of our customers can use lighter to finish the joint, but we strongly recommend to use a heat gun with REFLECTOR NOZZLE to heat shrink the connector, especially for beginners.

Note: In some case, a solder ring mark will be left after the tin ring was melt, but it doesn't mean the tin ring is not melted and it fails. As long as there are enough tin melt with the copper then it will hold up strongly, it is unnecessary to pursue 100% meltdown of the solder ring. You can stretch it to test after the connector cool down.
