Answer:	In most cases, Nest thermostats can get enough power from your system’s heating and cooling wires. But in a small number of situations you may need to connect a common or C wire to deliver enough consistent power to your thermostat when your heating and cooling wires are not able to deliver the needed power for your Nest thermostat. Battery drain issues normally happen when the power from your heating and cooling system goes out. The 2 AAA alkaline batteries are used as a backup, or to supplement if your system can’t deliver enough power.

Answer:	No
Question:	I have 4 wires, 1st wire is w/ 2nd y/3rd is g/4th is rh will this thermostat work with these wires
Answer:	Yes. You have a 4 wire system and it will work. One key point though. Although it will work without a C wire because it has batteries. This tends to cause problems later at some point. Ideally, you want C wire powering it. Now a lot of people don't have a C wire. So its a dilemma unless you are willing to use the G wire as a C wire. This is a well known workaround. See Youtube.

Answer:	The Nest turns orange after you to turn up the heat. When it reaches the new temp, it goes back to black.

Answer:	If the humidifier is compatible and is connected to the thermostat not just the furnace.

Answer:	I had that issue as my basement where the HVAC is hotter than the 1st floor and 1st floor hotter than the 2nd floor. I bought an additional sensor for the 2nd floor and use that as the temperature control at night. 1st floor and basement remain warmer than the 2nd floor but at least the 2nd floor is at a comfortable temperature at night.

Answer:	I am sorry, i have not installed them yet, but according to the manual, you can have outside temperature sensor, and return air temperature sensor, but no additional room temperature sensors.
Question:	If i set it to lets say 76 degrees, when will it turn on the a/c and turn it off? would it be at 77 and 75? i know the nest range is too wide for me
Answer:	8910W works just fine without WiFi, you just cannot manage it via the phone app or web. Yes it should reconnect when WiFi comes back. I occasionally (every 1-2 months) reboot the WiFi access points when upgrading their firmwares, and the 8910W reconnects just fine.
Question:	what if you have more than one zone? I have 3 zones, would i need to by one thermostat for each zone

You would be able to adjust the span setting via the iDevices Connected App. The span regulates how long the equipment runs and how long it waits between runs. Answer:	Based on Samsung's website - YES, this will work with SmartThings! I have had one of these thermostats for a few years now and have been content with using it just through wifi - I plan to play around with this now that I know it is compatible!! I know this is an old post, BUT - I love this thermostat and would absolutely use it again.

Answer:	It will reconnect automatically once your power comes back on as long as the modem/router also comes back on and reconnects to the internet.
Question:	What is difference between this thermostat and the white wifi version
Answer:	I called Honeywell and was told the "C" wire is blue and in fact mine is blue. I have no black wire. I have 5 wires yellow, white, blue, green and red. I was told I could check for AC voltage by connecting my meter to the red and blue wires. The Honeywell tech was very helpful. 800 468-1502.
Question:	Does this have the capability of showing me a temperature chart of the past 12 hrs
Answer:	There is no functional difference between the two. This TH9320WF5003 is white and the RTH9580WF1005 is silver. The RTH9580WF1005 is the retail model with a 1 year warranty and this one is intended to be a contractor only model with a 5 year warranty. Honeywell's former policy was that the TH9320WF5003 warranty wouldn't be honored if not installed by a contractor. However, they have since changed this. You now get 1 year with this too if you install it yourself.

Never had a problem. My (now ex) husband was glad I'm so handy (he was not...LOL!)

Answer:	As long as you have a "C" wire with your low-voltage wiring it should work fine.

Answer:	No deadband. It has heat mode for heat only, cool mode for cooling only and auto mode. if you set the temp in auto mode the ac and heater will maintain the set temp. Set it to 71 and temp drops to 70 the heater will turn on and if the temp rises to 72 the ac will turn on.
