| Answer: | Hello, depends on what part of the door. You could use 3M Silicone on the hinges/latches but don't think it is the most appropriate. OEM is normally a heavier grease, the light silicone may wear off quickly. I use 3M Silicone spray on my front door (home) hinges and the squeak goes away for about 1 month but the squeak returns. Thinking of using a spray that displaces moisture instead. Have used silicone on the door lock mechanism. Works just OK. Think the graphite based lubes better in long run. The Dry Silicone spray is excellent for reducing friction on sliding or threaded surfaces, but as with all silicon, it is almost impossible to remove from places where you didn't intend it to go.
