| Answer: | No. The amount of energy required for this much volume to be boiling is more than this unit can give you. That does not mean that eventually (probably after 1 or 2 hours) you will achieve boiling point but there will be heat losses from your container. The heat is generated by the metal that is in contact with the induction coil which is about 4 to 5 inches. The rest of the heat is transferred from that area to the rest of the container via conduction. So, make sure you have a very efficient container (enameled cast iron maybe). Even so, you should probably try doing your brewing in smaller batches. :) ... 8 gallons... c'mon man! |
