It interfaces with the latch mechanism of the exit device. The 6200 Series movable lip (keeper) allows a door to open, even when the latch bolt is extended. This feature, called remote release provides added benefits such as increased convenience and efficiency. The 6200 Series also provides added security and traffic control. 6200 Series electric strikes can be used for retrofit applications or new construction. To assure the proper selection of an electric strike on new applications, lockset compatibility charts are shown in the downloadable data sheet. The power failure mode of the 6200 Series can be specified at the time of order. Fail-secure is available for fire rated openings. In a fail-secure application, the door is normally locked. To unlock the door power must be applied. Fail-safe strikes, which are commonly used for life safety applications, are non-fire rated. To unlock a fail-safe strike, power is removed. The 6200 Series comes standard with 24 VDC; 12 VDC and AC operation are optional.

Answer:	Each lock comes standard with 2 keys, but you have a couple options to get additional keys. 1) you can either give us a call and we can set it up so you can get multiple keys made with a custom order OR 2) you can also get copies made at any local hardware store. Answer:	No, there is nothing adjustable on this plate. It worked well for me because it is oversized and I was replacing a plate that had been repaired so many times it was unstable. It came with screws but I bought longer ones and now the plate is rock solid and safe. It worked so well that I ordered another one for the deadbolt. Wish I’d discovered this item sooner.

Question:	When the lock is triggered to open, why does one latch open and the other does not
Answer:	That was the issue with the old strike I replaced- both latches have their own solenoids & one of the solenoids failed. If you are having this issue with a new strike, it possibly could be defective. You might also want to measure your voltage and make sure your door controller is putting out enough to energize both solenoids.
