Answer:	You can take it off but it will leave the glue on and it is a long process to remove.
Question:	Is the only difference between x-plus and max the bed size? i noticed the max doesn't list carbon printing - is that feature not available there
Answer:	The main differences between the X-Max and X-Plus are the build volumes (Max= 300x250x300mm vs Plus= 270x200x200mm) and the touch screen (Max=5" vs Plus= 4.3"). They both can print the same materials, including Carbon Fiber, Polycarbonate, PC/ABS, & Nylon using the Hi-Temp print head that has a hardened steel nozzle to prevent wear when using abrasive filaments. Answer:	No, it is a single extruder. The additional extruder they include or send at customer request is an upgraded single extruder module.
Question:	How does this printer compare with the prusa i3 mk3? they are at the same price point but i would have to wait several weeks for the prusa
Answer:	The guy that sits next to me at work got the same Prusa kit. He feels like the QIDI X-Plus may out perform his. Also, my build capacity is a bit larger than his. He likes the PEI surface on the Prusa. My only mild complaint is having to exchange extruders for the over 250C range, but I think I get smoother prints with my low temp extruder that he does with the general purpose extruder on the Prusa. Also, he regrets not having an enclosure like mine has. We compare prints all day long, so after he spent an entire day and night building his & I was up and running in 10 minutes, I want to buy another one! I also got mine in 2 days & I have almost immediate answers from support 24/7, no matter how trivial. They are amazing! It took a couple of weeks to get the Prusa. He was so jealous!

Question:	Does it stop if the filament runs out and wait for user to load new filament
Answer:	The printer currently does not have such function. So if the filament runs out, there will be no prompts or stop printing. Please load new filament directly to print.
Question:	Can a Filament Detector be added by user to the Xmax
Answer:	Because the machine has automemory...on power outages, I built my own filament detector. It serves two purposes: 1) It will detect the end of a filament at the sensor (basically a mechanical switch), and trip a relay which shuts down the machine; and 2) It cuts the filament in the case of a reel bind which then does (1) above. (this is done by a bend that pulls into a blade when the force is enough). Yes, it's a kludge. But when you are 10, 15, 22+ hours into a print (often overnight) and are not baby sitting it, this method has been a plastic and time saver. I am sure there are better ways, but this was a quick and dirty project after I had a spool bind up. While I normally use higher quality manufacturers, binding can and does occur, especially if the last person to swap out a roll wasn't careful and let the end loop under a wind. Those of you who have printed enough, know exactly what I am talking about.
Question:	Does this printer have filters for fumes
Answer:	There is a foam filter element over the cabinet fans. This does little more than filter the air blown into the build chamber, and is really unnecessary, for all intents and purposes. Consider it a dust filter for the inside of the printer. It has no impact on any fumes or particulates in the air escaping the printer during use..
Question:	Can it automaticlly stop if the filament runs out like bibo 3d printer
Answer:	No, it cannot. However, there is a pause and resume function, so you can replace/change filament mid-print, you just have to detect the correct time (or predict it in gcode) when the filament will be close to running out.

Answer:	It came preloaded on the thumb drive included with the printer. There is also a printed version in the box as well. Email them, and I am sure they will provide you the pdf.

Answer:	The 2K resolution(2560*1600 pixels) can support to print the model whatever you want. But I think it depends on what kind of model you want. The high-fidelity part seems not..

Answer:	The filter helps, but I went ahead and set up a ventilation system as well. I found an STL file of a vent cover and cut it into 3 pieces and printed it off and then spot cured them together with some resin and a UV flashlight. Answer:	you want to print HOT HOT HOT temps of 250-255c even 260c if your machine can do it safely. (this will degrade your PTFE if you have a lined heatbreak in time but it will last a pretty long time then use capricon tubing it holds up to higher temps better) 25-30mm/s should be ok NO FAN treat it like ABS a cooling fan can "skin" the extrusion before it melts with your previous layer (hence your layers not sticking) it will look wonder but pull apart. 75=80c bed with pva (gluestick) should work or Garolite. glue stick like "hatchwork" pattern (tic tac toe) no idea why it makes a difference but it does :-) also nylon LOVES WATER. it will absorb it right out of the air. enough to effect print quality EVEN WHILE SITTING ON YOUR MACHINE!! that fast. so you need to DRY IT and if you have a moist environment (Humidity) you may want to put together a dry box and print FROM the dry box. if you hear snap crackly pop as its print your wet and need to dry it (or bubbles in the print etc..) 160-180 F in the oven 8 hours will dry it (be careful make sure your oven temp is reliable)

Question:	does the 2x have automatic bed leveling
Answer:	You will need to check your 3d pen for what size it uses. This is 2.85mm, the 3d pen I have takes 1.75mm so this filament will not fit in it but your pen may be different so check the size to be sure. I have also heard that glow filaments are more abrasive so be aware that it may wear your pen nozzle out.

Answer:	Traditionally to go from design to print, your design software (e.g. SolidWorks) would export the design as a ".STL" file (STL = STereo Lithography -- a format meant for use in 3D printing). The STL doesn't know what sort of machine will produce the print, so this is still an intermediate state. The STL file is loaded into the "slicing" software. Cura is free/open-source software. The LulzBot includes Cura "LulzBot Edition" (they've built-in all the printer profiles and several filament profiles so the software will know optimal settings when using those filaments in their machines.) Cura will produce ".gcode" files (G codes are used by all sorts of numerical control robots.) G-code files are human-readable. They tell the printer what to do (e.g. heat up the print bed, heat up the nozzle, set the extrusion feed-rate, turn on the fans, and move to coordinates (while printing or not while printing,), etc. etc. You can use almost any slicing software as long as it supports generic "RepRap" (of which "Marlin" is the most popular RepRap firmware). This is what the LulzBot uses. Cura is free (and included) and there are advantages to using their included software only because of the built-in profiles. But you can use other slicing software. "Simplify 3D" is a very popular non-free slicing program (about $150) and that works too. But the reason I'd at least start with Cura is because of those built-in profiles. If you use another program, you'll have to build your own print material profiles and determine which settings are optimal for the printer. So if you really want to use something else, at least open Cura, select the material profile, and copy down all the settings so you can enter them into the next program and have a good starting point. These are things such as the extrusion temperature, print speed, layer thicknesses, etc. etc. which will vary based on the material you select and the quality level you want (some settings will let you print faster but at lower quality. Other settings will get you a higher quality result, but the print time will take longer.)

Answer:	Good question and you can certainly print the housing and some of the internal parts., some plastics can take a lot of torque but I'd definitely stick with standard motors.
