Answer:	If you mean the plastic case that comes off and can be used to put stuff on for weight, yes. I would not put the scale in the dishwasher though.

But for both it takes time to get used to so its a great product but not a quick fix.

Answer:	It measures to 0.1g, but if you just want to measure 0.1g, the scale automatically clears it to 0. My test is that it can measure 0.5g and up, with nominal accuracy of 0.1g.

Answer:	I wish scales didn't have this--it's really just grams, changing the "gm" to "ml." Many kitchen liquids are around 1 g/ml, so it's not too far off for them. Oils are around 0.9 g/ml, so a reading of "10 ml" would actually be 10 gram, or about 11 ml. But honey is dense--about 1.4 g/ml. A reading of "10 ml" would actually be 7 grams.
Question:	can I put a bowl on it, zero it, then weigh only the contents of the bowl, not the bowl itself
Answer:	Yes, absolutely. You can put a bowl on it. Tun it on and it will start with zero. Then, you can weight your contents.

Question:	Does it also go negative? For example, if I have a bowl with food in it and tare it, then remove some of the food, does it show a negative number
Answer:	I also needed to know if it would go negative 😊. The reason we use the negative measurements is this: if I am making a recipe, and I need to add 20 grams of honey, rather than messing up a measuring cup, you put the open honey jar (you don't want to include cap weight) on the scale and tare or "zero" it. Then, pick up the honey, put in about what you think is about 65% of your desired weight. Then put the honey jar back on the scale. The amount it shows in a negative number is the number of units (for me, usually grams) that you added to your recipe. Repeat pouring in until the scale registers as a negative number what you were looking to add (in this example, at the end it would say -20g).
Question:	Why are you using horribly faked superimposed photos of food? It throws off the scale of the product
Answer:	That's for "scale" (it's small: you put food on it, not people). Yes, these are definitely photoshopped, which is common here on Amazon. (If you click the strawberries and then hover your mouse over the different colors, you'll see that these are the EXACT same strawberries in each picture. ) Take a look at the review photos for something more real.

Answer:	"Schrodinger's cat" LOL! Patricia, I use my scale to weigh my parrot. i just have to get him to hold still for a second which I do by holding an almond in front of him. Cats usually momentary freeze when they see something interesting to them as well. Alternatively, you could make an odd sound, like a distressed mouse squeak. Your cat will probably freeze at that in order to determine where the noise is coming from. Let the cat play in the box before you put it on the scale so she/he will be used to being in it.

Answer:	Please try as following: 1, Pull the metal part of the flip lock, open the flip lock, then pull the tube and adjust to the right length you want, then pull back the metal part, lock the flip lock. 2, Then pressing from top, if the flip lock is not so tighten, open the flip lock, and turn screws to the suitable loose /tight , then lock the flip lock. 3, do same to the other flip lock on the pole. 4, also please see the products pictures ,specially picture #4. Attention please, to protect your poles, please 1) when you adjust length of the pole, please don't pull the tube pass over "Stop" line; 2) when you adjust the tighten of flip lock, please don't turn the screws too tight. Answer:	I assume you weighed U.S. coins from 1965 or later. The manufacturer (Etekcity) states that this model scale be limited to items greater than 3-5 grams to achieve most accurate measurement. A quarter weighs 5.67 grams. If that was what you weighed and the reading was inaccurate (not 6 grams) then the scale should be returned. If you weighed a nickel which is 5 grams and the reading was inaccurate (not 5 grams), then 6 to 5 and pick 'em. If you weighed a dime or penny and the reading was inaccurate then that is within specification and the scale is operating as designed. For scales in this category (budget-priced electronic scales for items between 5 grams and 11 lbs), this level of precision is normal.
