Answer:	I’ve been on the first nozzle of the set for about 3-4 months now. Keep bed level so it doesn’t drag across bed, avoid abrasive filaments and they’ll last for quite some time. Also I use an Oiler on my filament to help prevent clogs. I’m about to change this one out but only to use the smaller nozzle for higher detailed mini prints.

Answer:	No I do not think so. I use these on my CR10S. I have a CR10Max and it has the same extruder as the Pro. The thread size is different between the Pro/Max to the CR10. I almost cross threaded mine before I realized.

Question:	What version is the board
Answer:	The newest version of the board is 1.1.5, it does not come with the printer though. Mine came with 1.1.4 which is very similar to the 1.1.3. Creality Sells the 1.1.5 separately right now as the Creality v1.1.5 Silent Main Board. It is $50 bucks and you might find it cheaper but it is a worthwhile upgrade. It has newer stepper drivers that make the stepper motors virtually silent. I can't hear them anymore only the fans now. The board also has thermal runaway enabled and has a boot loader preinstalled so if you wanted to switch to Vanilla Marlin or the TH3D software you could do so very easily. Installing this board and the TH3D software also made adding a BL Touch kit easy.

Question:	What is the physical footprint of this unit
Answer:	The actual base footprint itself requires a flat 12" x 12" surface, however certain parts such as the display panel overhang requiring a bit more space. A roughly 16" wide by about 20" deep space should be about right, although you will want to make sure both the back and front have an additional few inches to spare as the bed does move back and forth during operation. I mount mine on top of a 16" x 18" patio paver block for support and stability. I place the paver block over some dense foam that is cut about 1" in from the block edge (14" x 16"). This gives the printer a platform that helps contribute mass to absorb vibrations as well as offer a bid of noise reduction cause by sound transmission through the base. Placed a few inches from the back wall it also ensures the printer travel area remains clear. There is also YouTube video on using this technique if interested (not mine but I came across it after I came up with the same idea separately).

Answer:	It does come with a very old version of Cura. The lastest version of Cura is what I am using. Just download it from https://ultimaker.com/en/products/ultimaker-cura-software/list. If all you are doing is downloading models and printing this is all you need. If you want to make your own 3D models that complicates things. There are many, many 3d modeling programs and which one to use is a very personal choice and each takes time to learn to use. Blender is free, Sketch-up is also I think. But there are commercial programs that can cost up to a couple of thousand to use. Zbrush, Studio Max, and others. Answer:	No, it does not come with a steel plate. It does come with an adhesive magnet that you can stick to an aluminum or plastic print bed, which then gives something for the flexible magnetic print surface to stick to.

Answer:	You can clean it with a little bit of rubbing alcohol and a cloth or cotton ball. That said, these magnetic beds should be considered a consumable. You will get a number of prints from one, but the PLA will build up over time and it will need to be replaced.

Answer:	I have the Ender 5. The magnetic flexible bed cover on the stock version of the Ender 5 also comes with the "dragon head" logo. This bed cover has no "dragon head" logo and is not as magnetic as the stock version and does not adhere to the build plate as well. Dimensionally it fits as well as the stock bed cover. Based on the weak magnetic adhesion I won't buy another of this version.
Question:	Does the paper backing need to be removed? It covers an adhesive that would be difficult to remove
Answer:	The print bed itself has no adhesive or paper backing. The paper backing is on the flexible magnet that you can use to stick to your printer's existing bed, and then place the flexible print surface on the magnet. You will need to remove the paper backing to expose the adhesive if you want to use this stick-on magnet. The adhesive would be very hard to remove. But, if you already have a steel print bed, you can just place the flexible magnetic part on it, and not use the other part. The part with the adhesive is only for printers that have plastic or aluminum beds that a magnet won't stick to.

Answer:	I don't know the exact length, but it is long enough for a standard Ender 3 with a little extra. If you had to extend your other wires to relocate the board, it may not be long enough.

Question:	Does Ender 5 come with Slic3r configuration file
Answer:	Mine came with one for Cura on the SD card. On the card in the "2.Software and USB Driver\CURA\Cura3.4.1" directory there is a file named creality_Ender5.def.json. I installed the newest Cura (3.6 as of writing this) and copied the file to "C:\Program Files\Ultimaker Cura 3.6\resources\definitions" (if you're using windows, v3.6, and the default install location) and the profile for the Creality Ender-5 was there to select when I started Cura.

Answer:	It reads g-code. If you use a slicer program like Cura Ultimaker, it will slice the model and write the g-code. You can then, using the SD card, import it to your printer!

Answer:	V.1.1.4 is the mother board with the basic ender 5. It is not a silent motherboards which is one of the upgrades. It also has fixed glitches that the origional ender 5 has. Not sure what else is different except faster processes

Answer:	There is no hole on the back, but there is a large flap that opens on the lower right side near the rear of the tent if you were looking at it from the front. The flap is sealed using a hook and loop design (velcro) similar to the flap you see on the top in the image. I run all my connections through there, including power. I run an AdimLab Gantry printer. This tent was not designed for it but it still works great.

Answer:	I haven’t had any issue. There is a Velcro opening on top and of course the zippeered opening. I’ve left the Velcro top partially open to allow heat to escape via convection. I’ve printed probably 100-120hrs with it so far (PLA and PETG) without any issues with it, the camera or the Raspi in there. The LED lights running inside add negligible heat as well. The ambient temperature likely factors in as well. Mine is in a 68F room.

Question:	Is it a 32 bit controller? also wifi capability
Answer:	It's not any brand that I know of but it's perfectly safe nothing to worry about
Question:	Can this be controlled via external printer software, such as Astroprint or Octoprint
Answer:	You can use many brands of filament as longs as it is 1.75mm. I would try to use the better brands as they tend to work a little better.
Question:	Which mainboard and driver are on the regular ender 5? Also, does the regular have auto leveling
Answer:	I just got this Ender 5 on jan 5 2020. The z axis screw does not have the anti backlash nut. just the threaded mount that moves the bed. It does not move on it's own or drop like I see in the old videos. I put the glass bed on and no drop at all. In fact I could not move it by pushing up or down. You have to turn the screw to move the bed so I am guessing something has changed. Confirmed still a 1.1.4 board with Marlin 1.1.6 installed
Question:	Does the ender 5 plus now have a meanwell power supply? concerns have been raised about the other off brand used. thanks
Answer:	I use either the Creality Slicer which came with it, which is a modified Cura, or I use the latest Cura (4.4). I actually prefer the version that came with it and my models have all turned out smooth and without "zits" I have no idea what problem all3dp is having. I am using Blender to create files and Cura 4.4 does not seem to like my models so far, but the original slicer is fine.

Question:	I am looking to purchase a 3D printer as a gift for a beginner. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you
Answer:	My son is 15 and he handpicked this one as a gift. He doesn’t know that I’ve purchased it, but he was very adamant that this was the best one. If the recipient is very technically inclined, I think it would be a great fit. I’ve read tons of reviews and watched several on YouTube. Once it’s properly assembled ( does seem to take some time), then operation is suitable for a beginner (again, must be very technically inclined). My son did request a different type of filament that I also purchased on Amazon, because the included roll isn’t that great. I don’t remember which one I purchased, but it was about 20.00. He also suggested getting or building a table to sit it on, as you should not sit it directly on the floor. He’s making one to put beside his desk, but I’m sure any small table would do. I’m very excited myself to see it in action, but I guess I’ll have to wait until Christmas.

Answer:	It is very straightforward, but the downloadable PDF instructions leave a lot to be desired. I highly recommend using the top-rated "how to build" video, along with the PDF.
