Answer:	NO... I have one short shag rug and 2 kitchen rugs that are a little puffy, not even short pile and I cannot use this vacuum. I've kept my old vacuum to do those rugs.

Answer:	This model does have a brush roller but when switched to bare floor mode, the rollers retract slightly and do not spin. Works fine on bare floors and does not fling the dirt and hair around like some models.
Question:	What attachments does this come with
Answer:	Occasionally thread or string will wrap around the brush. The vacuum cleaner sounds different when this happens, as the brush stops spinning. All you need to do is turn the vacuum off, unplug, tilt the roller up so you can see it, and cut the string to remove it. This would be the same for long hair.

Answer:	Well, I tested it with a Cheerio and the Flatout tool picked it up fine from carpet and wood floor, if you lift the tool slightly. But I wouldn't really use it on wood floors myself because it sits very flat on the surface and has no brushes. I think it would scratch my wood floors. The main use it is so good for is getting under the couch, end tables, entertainment center, bed, etc. where dust and small items (like Cheerios) seem to get caught. Hope this answers your question.

Answer:	I bought this based on the previous answer and found that it was not accurate. I have the V11 with red button locks and this hard floor tool was NOT compatible. I also contacted Dyson and they indicated that there is no hard floor tool like this that is compatible with the V11.

Answer:	The wand with attachment is about 3 feet and the hose can be expanded another 6 to 8 feet. We have no problem using the hose attachment to clean furniture, stairs (up to 6 steps without moving) and ceilings.

Answer:	Hi, I do not own a parrot or any other bird for that matter, but, to answer your question, this dyson model is fantastic in picking up just about "anything". I use different attachments, depending on the type of floor your cleaning. The dyson canister has no problem picking up all of the above items you mentioned and then some. I have a house cleaning business and using this vacuum has picked up MANY items including pens/pencils, scarves/socks, small toys parts, coins, etc. The suction is very powerful. Answer:	I'm also 6' tall. I haven't measured the wand, but it extends plenty long for me to be able to stand upright while I vacuum.

Answer:	This product has the best tools and features I've ever seen. The extension tube has a telescoping feature and a handle at the top. There are several lengths that you can easily switch to. The hose and tube have a new way to connect just like the cleaning heads. There is a fabric head for clothing or curtains. There are two heads that have rotating brushes, one large and one smaller, that get fuzz and hair like nobodies business. The top of the tube has a suction release in case you vacuum something you didn't mean to. There is a crevice tool much like any other vacuum, but, this one has a slide up or down brush that is quick and clicks into place. The crevice tool and the fabric head attach to the main tube so you don't have to go get it in the middle of work. The tube can be completely removed and the heads hook right to the hose. So nice for cleaning the stairs, couch or other upholstery. The wheels let you roll it in any direction super easy without it tipping over or having to go back and carry it to where you want to go. There is a button you push and the cord rolls up into the belly. There is a internal filter that filters the air, that pops out and you can clean it in the sink, squeeze it out, let it dry for 24 hours and pop it back in. Press a button and the canister comes off and when you hold it over the trash can you press another button and the bottom opens and all the dirt falls into the trash. I use a damp rag to wipe the dust off the gaskets to maintain the powerful suction. The whole thing is so light that I don't hurt my back when I use it. There are a few other nice features that I haven't mentioned. Can you tell I love this machine. It's even pretty. The price was scary at first, because I had been fooled before, but, when this beauty got here packed sooo very well and I used it on my filthy, dog hair covered velvet couch, I was sold. I have terrible allergies (even to my two dogs and cat) and this product gets the tinniest dust particles and the hair. It has worked really well on anything I use it on, it even gets the cat hair off the curtains! My home is so much cleaner.
