Answer:	Good question! No worries, though. Unless you are licking the basin or eating/drinking directly out of it, it doesn't matter. Google it. It can't transfer to other surfaces, such as the cereal bowls you eat out of. It can only leak into the food or water of a container containing the food or water. It doesn't leak into the air. Even if you did eat out of it, the food/liquid would have had to have been in it for a while. BPA hasn't been used in water bottles, baby bottles, etc, for over a decade. This is strictly enforced and tested. And anyway, with all the other plastics, many cheaper and better now, there's no reason for China or anywhere to be "sneaky" about using it. Answer:	I bought the one-tier shelf, and it's fine for two people. I most often have two plates, a few bowls, a skillet, a container or two, and a few glasses on it, and I don't even have mine fully extended because the inside of my sink is too small. I'd easily have room for a pot if I could use it fully. You'll be fine with it. I also use hooks on the part by the wall to hang miscellaneous kitchen items I always use. I love it.

Answer:	I think so. You can fit many plates, glasses, silverware, and pots/pans at once. One of the most useful items I've ever gotten, especially great for small spaces. I have the one tier.
