Answer:	The one you have must not be stainless steel, this one is, I would think that it will not turn if you put it in the dishwasher. Then again I could be wrong. In the end, all you can do is if you want one of these, place it the dishwasher and if it does the way yours is doing now, then you have the answer. That's the best answer I have,
