Answer:	12 inch is usually considered the standard size for dinners, but I guess if you were only cooking for two people the 10 inch would do fine. We have several 12 inch that we use for dinners, and a 10 inch we cook dessert in. We also have a large 14 inch for when we have a large group to cook for like a family gathering. You can put a whole chicken into a 12 inch but just a few pieces of chicken into a 10 inch. If you want to cook bread or rolls, you'll need the room of the 12 inch. The beauty of the Dutch oven is you can stack them while cooking so you can use a 12 inch for the main course, another for dinner rolls, and top it off with a 10 inch for dessert. Be careful not to confuse quart size with inches. Lodge typically measures by size in inches, while Camp Chef ovens are deeper and measure by quarts. I've noticed the deeper Camp Chefs take more coals to get the same cook times, but they do hold more food. Lodge offers better quality, but Camp Chef includes a lid that can be flipped upside down and used as a griddle, which is handy if you'll be camping. I like both brands.

Answer:	I made chili in mine as soon as I got it, and I browned 2lb of meat as the first thing I did ... 1lb. ground chuck (85% / 15% fat) and 1lb. ground pork ... and then obviously many other ingredients, but it came out fine. I would think you can brown just about anything you wanted in it... Not sure why you couldn't?

Answer:	Yes, they are made overseas, not in the USA. I've had my pan for 7 years now...and it's used weekly, and more often in the winter months. I was a bit disappointed when it came and I realized it wasn't made in the USA but decided to give it a chance. After 7 years of hard use I can honestly say it's the best pot I have ever owned! It's discolored a bit, not surprising with the amount of use it gets and all the soups stews and roasts I make in it throughout each year. But that hasn't affected the pot at all. It is just a good as it was when I first bought it. I'm going to try the 1 cup baking soda and 4 cups water trick (boil 5 min let sit with the lid on for 2 hours) that I read about in one of the other questions to see if it will return to it's original beige coloring, but even if it doesn't, it's still going to be my "go to" pot for everything I can use a dutch oven for :-) I highly recommend this pot, even though it's not made in the USA!

I pull it out once a week to clean and have not seen any damage. I assume it can get hot just keep an eye on it until you figure it out. Also I never depend on the temp being what it's set on, most things I fry or bake are at 225 to 300 degrees and have developed quite good skills on this thing

Answer:	The 8 quart dutch oven will supply you with plenty enough food for a party of 8 and camping with 4. I have had alot of large meals come out of my 8 quart oven. I also have two 12 quart dutch ovens and just 1 of the ovens will feed a small army. I have fed 3 familys ( 10 people ) at the same time with the 8 quart oven. I started out makeing my best meals with my old 8 quart. Hope this helps !!!

Question:	Can I use in Europe
Answer:	i actually own both. the difference, i believe is in their shape. the cheaper one has a wider circumference and lower height. this, i find, lends itself to cooking vegetables, such as ratatouille, while the other is better for dishes in which you do not want the sauce to evaporate too quickly. the smaller diameter helps in that. i was once trying to cook something in the wider flatter pot and the recipe started with making the sauce. as the pot was wide and a larger portion of it exposed to the heat, the sauce burnt rather than cooked evenly as it would have in the other pot. i enjoy both of the pots, as well as the many others i own, but have learnt through trial and error when to use each pot. i hope tho is helpful.

Answer:	The onsite specs do say, and I affirm, that the interior has sufficient space to hold a 9in round item in the interior. What needs to be clarified is the height. The effective clearance - that is the available space between the lower rack at the bottom and the heating implement at the top - is slightly less than 4in. An item with a height of 3.5in should fit, but one needs to be concerned with any food being close to the heat source. I would advise against cooking any food in this oven that will rise in excess of 3.5in from bottom of pan to highest point.

Question:	Does the tray slide out when the door is opened
Answer:	Hi Fred, no there isn't an outside water level. You have to look into the opening where you fill the water into. Inside you'll see a line to see how much water you need to put in. For us it isn't a big deal to do. Usually we fill it every morning and that seems to work for us. We keep 4 gallons of water on hand each time we fill it so we aren't scrambling to fill them when it's low. On really cold days I'll check the level in the evening to make sure it has enough water overnight. This is the second winter using it and it makes a lot of difference in the air moisture throughout our house which is 1400 square feet. With that being said, we are very happy with it.
Question:	Do you have to turn it over and shake it to get the crumbs out? or is there a door ithat opens on the outside of the bottom of oven
Answer:	Filters are no longer packaged in anything. Instead, the company has decided to just ship filters in the shipping box with nothing else. My filters were contaminated upon arrival and I didn’t realize until 13 days later after I could hardly breath. After figuring out it must be the filters I threw them in the garbage, removed the humidifiers from my home, and my breathing went back to normal. I have a lot of experience with this product through the years so I know the filters are getting contaminated during shipping. When I called the company I was told they no longer use any packaging for the filters. They did not seem to care about my health or the health of others. If you value your health you need to find another brand. Reputable companies will seal their filters in plastic wrap. Don’t make the same mistake I did and trust this company. They changed their name from Essick Air to Air Care and use this seller as a front to avoid liability for their extremely negligent business decisions. This has been an absolute nightmare for me and I hope to inform others so as they do not have to go through the same thing or have their health permanently damaged. Proceed at your own risk!
Question:	Does the crumb tray slide out of the bottom or do you have to open the door and pull it out from the interior
Answer:	Yes...just fired it up for season two. Bought this model mid-winter, last year (2018)....had the same issue with it randomly just kicking in to loud fan noise, yet fan speed was not turned up. In fact, I had shut the unit off over night (did not unplug) and unit turned in randomly by itself and sounded like an airplane landing and then would just go back to normal .....and other times it just cycles off for a few seconds and then turns back on....each one of these instances, plenty of water....I am about over this product.

Answer:	16.5 wide 12 depth X 9 high
Question:	Where is the convection setting? We just replaced the older model & don’t see the same convection setting which is what we use the most
Answer:	There are 2 Bake settings: Bake with a fan-like symbol and Bake/pizza. I think the one with the fan-like symbol is the convection setting.
Question:	I can only use this on bake for 5 min. at a time and then the toast dial dings and i add another 5 min. for 30 mi 5 visits. what am i doing wrong
Answer:	The timer lower dial can be rotated clockwise for timer function. In addition, you can turn the oven on by rotating it left, counterclockwise to about 10:00 where it will click in place and the power on light lit. In this mode no timer is activated so watch the time so you do not overcook your food. Hope this helps
Question:	What is the "non-stick" coating on the interior? Is it like Teflon or what
Answer:	No. mine has no non-stick coating.
