Answer:	The same oil can be reused in the BDF500XL Smart Fryer™. We do not recommend keeping it in the fryer for extended period as this is not an air-tight storage container and the oil can go bad.

Answer:	You just pour it out of the tank into a container using a cloth or a fine fine strainer to keep food bits out. The oil older has an anti drip lip and it works great, make sure you wait oil cools off before draining.

Answer:	I verified with my oven thermometer that it does in fact reach 480F unlike some competitors that can be up to 25 degrees shy of the set temp. It took 25 minutes for the Smart Oven Air to reach 480F.

Answer:	Yes it does have non-stick walls. To clean use a soft, damp sponge with a non abrasive liquid cleaner. Pour on the sponge. Voltage is 110. Watts are 1800. They recommend operating the oven on a dedicated circuit separated from other appliances. Just a tip I bought an oven liner that u put in the bottom of a regular electric oven. Cut it done to the size that fits the tray that pulls out from the bottom of the breville. The tray that pulls out is not non-stick. Clean up is a breeze. This is my 2nd breville oven. I bought the 900 model because it is bigger and fits a 9x13 pans. Gave my son my smaller oven.I love this oven a lot. The light is great, air fry does frozen French fries to perfection. Easter I cooked a 10 lb ham. In my house it's called "moms easy bake oven". Just to separate between it and the regular oven.

Answer:	The prefilters tend to last a few months so the box would be a year supply (not one filter) and the hepa filter is a yearly switch.

Answer:	The rods I received are 3 1/2 inches of exposed ferrocerium which is round and 3/16th inch in diameter. The strike area gets wider as it is scraped down. So, at the tangent where the striker hits the round rod, it is -0- until you scrape it down. Then it reaches a maximum width of approximately 3/16th of an inch as material is scraped away.
Question:	do these work for the smart pro
Answer:	I have had some similar to these for several years and I have yet to wear them out or to see any of them corrode even when I get them wet. These particular ones I bought from Amazon seem to be really good and easy for making lots of sparks. I gave two of these to a 12 & 14 year old with a hand full of dried grass and told the to make a fire. Neither had any experience and they had two fires going in 10 minutes. My personal one gets thrown in my back pack and stays there. It goes every where with me and has never failed.

Answer:	The electric kettle is made with glass while the inner lid and base are made of food-grade 304 stainless steel. All the water contact surfaces are constructed of food grade material and heat-resistant.

Answer:	I found when I just use tapwater, that the bottom of the kettle was turning white from calcium deposits. I would suggest that you use either distilled water, or purified water and see if that makes a difference. First of all though you need to clean that black stuff off by boiling some vinegar with a little water in the kettle and then scraping it off with a scrubby.

Question:	Is it easy to clean
Answer:	Yes it is very easy to clean. The reservoir alone with the heating element lifts out of the unit, that makes it a snape clean.
Question:	The oil filter it self, does it need to be replaced or cleaned
Answer:	The filter is a built in wire mesh type and doesn't need to be replaced as far as I can tell. The only part that may need to be replaced at some point is the rubber seal around it. Hope that helps. I've been using mine for a few months and absolutely love it. The best part of this fryer is the filter system and how you can drain your oil and store it in the plastic container until you need it again. It makes for cleaning and replacing the oil a breeze.
Question:	Can you leave the plastic oil container in while frying
Answer:	Yes - The 'fry" switch keeps the hot oil separated from the plastic oil storage container while frying. Once the oil has cooled, the switch is turned to drain and it flows into the storage container.
Question:	How many oil re-use cycles is recommended? I know there comes a time when the oil goes bad, gets overloaded with flavors from previous cookings, etc
Answer:	Big Ron,I've used it 8x already and probably could maybe squeeze a couple more out. But, I think 8-10 is a good estimate depending on the type of foods your cooking. I've used it to cook meat, desserts, ect... in all the same cycle of oil.

Answer:	Wish I'd seen this before we took our new one out of the box and measured! I can say that from the back of the microwave (including cords sticking out) to the front edge of the front feet is about 13". Hope that helps somewhat; we were trying to determine whether a 15" shelf would suffice (YES).

Answer:	Not much more than a couple of drinks and a bowl of snacks. Certainly do not try to sit on it.

Answer:	We use as a side table between two chairs outdoors. The height of table is about same height to seat of chairs so personally, I feel that it may be too high to be comfortable for use as an ottoman.
