I would grind smaller amounts of beans for a short time, using pulses instead of on ... You will want a More course grind consistency than you might think because it is super easy to get the grind looking more like what you buy that is pre ground, and your coffee will clog up in the filter basket. I've been using various devices to grind my own coffee for decades and using various devices to make coffee from making it on the stove campfire style, traditional drip, to french press and pod style. If your coffee grounds are too fine they resist getting wet and the water leaks out, you've heard the phrase like water off a ducks back - mess everywhere. So experiment with small amounts. If you do get a batch of grounds too fine, easy to fix, just put them into any sealable container, zipper bag, jar with a lid etc, add cold water and mix, stir, or shake and let sit for 30 minutes to overnight depending on the intensity you desire. You'll want to filter this at least twice, then you can Brew the grounds as you normally would. Heat the liquid and dilute with water to your preference. It's basically a trial and error to get it to the way you prefer. |

When chopping foods, pulsing on and off will produce the best results. Operating time will depend on the quantity of food being processed. Most foods can be sliced, chopped, or shredded in seconds. To slice or shred cheese, use firm cheeses like Cheddar or Swiss that have been chilled for at least 30 minutes. (At the base is one spot and the 2nd pivot is where there is a bend on the metal arm). Having them both points extended fully makes the faucet head close to the sink. The faucet also can be very compact also which is nice with big pots, etc. |
