The actual stick part that goes into the ice cream/ices is approx 3 1/2" . Therefore, the handle /stick is a good length and goes almost all the way down into the ice cream/ices. The ices do not fall off the handle, like it does with other molds. I have been using these and they are great.

All you do is holdthe popsicles under warm water for a few seconds and gently pull on the flat handle; you may have to do this a couple of timesuntil you feel the popsicle release. They work great
