This rack is installed using lag screws, also call lag bolts. They are not screwed in rather rather inserted using a wrench that is the appropriate size for the head of the lag nut. You will have to drill a pilot hole to get stated, but once you get everything set up, the work goes rapidly. And the rack will never come off unintentionally, so secure is that form of installation. You'll have less residue if you shake it gently over your plate, then set it down gently on the counter. |

The SALT version is ceramic. The pepper version is steel. Steel will corrode when it's exposed to to salt. So if you use your pepper mill for salt grinding you will wreck your grinder. |

Please note that the updated laser etched markings look similar to the old printed version, this was just a processing change which made the markings much more durable.
