Answer:	The opening wheel (not really a blade) does NOT touch the contents in the can. It only contacts the outside edge of the can rim. So the food is not contaminated. Sometimes, some of the food leaks out and gets of the wheel. I use a small brush dipped in warm dish water to clean the wheel. A tooth brush works great.

Answer:	Imagine getting something at the store where the package is hard plastic. You run to get scissors to cut through the package but with some effort, you still can't stretch it open without cutting further.. You then cut through horizontally from one end to the other and are trying to pry open the packaging and you cut yourself with a fountain of blood flowing out of your cut fingers. Still not frustrated?"Frustration-Free Packaging" is VERY straightforward packaging which makes opening said product(s) VERY seamless, is friendly to the environment by being recyclable, and is simply a no-brainer to open. Answer:	I've only used it for family sized cans, but it's tall enough to open large cans. However, I'm not sure if a commercial sized cans would fit.

Answer:	The magnet is strong enough to hold small and medium sized cans,(8oz & 15.25oz),but the large cans you have to hold.

Answer:	I have used it for #10 size cans without problem. I do however use my hand to support the can not real sure if it would hold the can otherwise but never really tried. Hope this helps!

Answer:	I would not recommend this product for any use. I used it 3-4 times with regular sized can and it worked poorly at best. Next time tried to use and the brand new Duracell batteries about a month later and it was not able to open anything. Wish I had returned it right off because then I found it was too late to return and I'm just out the money I paid for nothing useful. It only uses batteries and nothing "professional" about it.

Answer:	Have the person who gave you the gift contact Amazon and ask for a return/refund.
Question:	will this open cans with pull tab openers on top, i have arthritis and can't open those pull tab tops
Answer:	Start by reading the instructions. Then ask to return the unit as it most likely work. My didn’t. The interlock switch does not engage the can either by poor design or poor manufacturing practices.
Question:	Will this open a can that has a pop top on it, or would the elevation of the tab interfere with the cutting process? Will this open a beer al can
Answer:	NO! it can not open half the smaller cans that have a thicker rolled-seal lid. Piece of junk.
Question:	Can you open big cans? Like 6lb cheddar chesse
Answer:	The instruction sheet shows a picture of the process. Hold the can opener upside down in your hand, tail pointing towards you. Apply slight pressure to the bottom while pulling it toward your body. Should slide right off. Good idea to do this occasionally anyway, as paper from the can gets slivers caught inside.

Open your cans/tins with hygiene in mind courtesy of the Auto Safety LidLifter from Kuhn Rikon. Once attached via the automatic, ‘lock-on’ mechanism, the opener removes lids without any contact whatsoever with the contents of the can/tin. It also prevents the all-too-common problem of lids falling into the can/tin. The device is safe to use as well as being hygienic: it doesn’t actually cut the metal, which ensures that unwanted sharp edges do not remain on either the can/tin or the lid.
