I love this dish and even if it was made in China, it is worth the money. I love that it has a handle and the dish is long and wide enough for any quarter butter portion. Answer:	The lid is heavy. If someone has arthritis the little handle is hard to grab. Even without that, I don't trust myself to use the handle, I grab the lid itself. I like the dish though.

Answer:	Butter can go stale or sour if left out 14 days or more with out refrigeration . But being covered will extend shelf life, Having had home made butter on the farm and only a Ice box days, we kept it in the spring house for weeks and no problem, always soft and tasty. But My advice if you are not going to be using it up with in several weeks then i would put it in fridge,

Answer:	I don’t put any water in the crock and the butter keeps just fine. I also do not refrigerate. My butter has never melted or gone bad.

Butter Falls Out of The Lid Into Water? (Tips & Troubleshooting)

• Make sure to use softened butter when you fill the bell.
• Make sure the bell is completely dry before refilling and change the water every 2 or 3 days.
• Make sure the water is cold enough. Drop an ice cube into the water if your environment is too hot.
• Make sure to press the butter firmly without leaving air holes by using the back of the spoon.
• Do not put new butter into the existing butter as it may fall off into the water.
• Do not store by the stove or store in direct sunlight as the butter melts.

Answer:	Hello, we are the manufacturer, Butter Hub. We are a USA - Seattle based family owned business, and the Butter Hub is manufactured in China. It's actually not cheap plastic at all, but high quality ABS, Food Safe, BPA free plastic. The rubber feet and rubber circle on top are a high quality 3M made rubber that we currently source from the USA and ship to China for manufacturing. Answer:	YES. The short answer is that 2 weeks is fine to leave butter out of the refrigerator. The long answer is that there are many factors involved. Butter is 80% fat and fat is almost impenetrable to bacteria. Fat surrounds the water and prevents the spread of bacteria. Also, pasteurization lowers bacteria to safe levels to begin with. Also, salted butter does an extra good job of preventing bacteria spread through water. Butter is pretty much the exception to the rule about keeping dairy products refrigerated. Keeping butter covered, away from light, and not in hot temperatures are all factors that help butter last longer unrefrigerated. For us, we keep butter out for 2 weeks, but honestly we usually use a stick up much quicker than that. We love keeping butter unrefrigerated because it is so much easier to scoop and spread. But if someone wanted to keep the BUTTER HUB dish in the refrigerator, one could still do that.
