However some of it's items are listed as "imported", I no longer have the box to this item to see if it is one that is imported or where that might be from. This is a quality pitcher to look at. Not something like one would get made in China, I can tell you that. Absolutely loved it myself, and got so many compliments on it that I purchased another for a wedding gift for a friend.

Answer:	The Le Chateau wine decanter is dishwasher safe but we recommend hand washing it. It should be cleaned with dish soap and warm water then left to dry upside down on a drying rack.

Answer:	Decanters are for Red Wine. Some red wines have a heavy concentrate of "tannins' in them. Tannins come from grape skins and are a natural preservative, but taste bitter. Many more full bodied wines like Italian barolo or French bordeaux have lots of tannin in them and so need to be aged as the tannins will dissipate over time. That is why people age red wines. When you open a wine with lots of tannins in it, it will taste bitter if you drink it immediately. But if you expose it to air in a clean glass container--a decanter--the tannins will dissipate--the wine will taste less tannic--and so it removes the bitter flavor that comes from the tannins. There is not right amount of time to decant, it depends on the amount of tannins. With less tannic reds, an hour is good, with more heavy tannic wines, two hours, and if you got lots of money and purchased a $150 barolo or bordeaux then probably up to 4 hours is good and if you have such a bottle, then you must invite me over to consume it!! But again there is no absolute time. So get a decanter, go to a wine shop and ask one of the people working there to pick you out some wines that need to be decanted and experiment. It will be fun, trust me! Once a wine has been decanted and then exposed to air and tastes good, any further prolonged exposure to air actually is bad for it, it becomes flat and loses its body/fruit and its balance between fruit and acid. So if you open a bottle and are only gonna have a single glass after it's been decanted, then you actually should get a little kit to take air out of the bottle. But you can always just drink the wine! Hope taht helps. And go to a wine shop and ask questions of the help. Seriously, they actually like that and love to talk about wine and educate people on it. Question:	What is the % of lead
Answer:	It sure has an outstanding FM radio. Buy it you will love it but please have a techie help you hook it up with you. you will love all the features as I do. The dvd sound is great!
Question:	How big is the opening
Answer:	unfortunately no, this model does not have a standard phono input. If the phonograph has standard level output you could utilize one of the other standard level inputs (phonograph with build in signal amplifier).
Question:	For those using a stopper with this item, which one works well
Answer:	This is going to sound weird. I had the same problem. I called Denon. They said vacuum the headphone jack. I did it, it worked. Weird, I know. The woman on the phone said dust shorts the headphone jack and causes the speakers to shut off.
Question:	Does this decanter also need a stopper
Answer:	I am not sure what your in-house speaker system is, but if it is a theater in the box system, then the speakers are not going to be that good. They will work because most speakers are 4 - 8 ohms. The biggest bang (improvement per $ spent) you can get if funds are limited is to upgrade your speakers. This the most effective way of improving your system, all other things being equal, is to upgrade speakers. You will hear such a dramatic improvement by just upgrading to good speakers you will be amazed. So I recommend getting good speakers as soon as you can afford it as your next upgrade. I don't know about the Niles SPS6.
