I've had a couple of sets of Pflatzgraff light-colored stoneware and every time a metal piece of flatware or cookware came in contact with it, the metal created a gray mark that looked like a scratch. It would take LOTS of elbow grease to get the marks off. Why can't Pfaltzgraff figure it out and correct it? Their name on dinnerware no longer equates with the quality you could expect decades ago. |

Crafted from High Quality Stoneware
Stoneware is a hard, durable ceramic made of light colored clay typically fired at over 2200° F. It is opaque and porous. Stoneware dinnerware tends to be thicker and heavier than porcelain or china. It can be glazed in a wide variety of colors and finishes (matte, satin, and shiny) for diverse designs.
