Answer:	After receiving mine I went back to purchase one as a gift. The description had been updated stating that it was for decoration, which was not in the description prior. I don’t know if this means that it is unsafe for cooking or not. I don’t cook with it for that reason. I may at some point test it to see if the issue is lead or if they were just trying to increase views by saying it was decorative. Sorry this doesn’t answer the question, but relays my experience and opinion.

Answer:	The answer to how many quarts is rather confusing. #1. 6 cups is 1+1/2 qt. As for how many people eat what amount is a variable that is difficult to decide. If it serves 4 people that would likely be 2 to 3 qts. I would like a 3 or 4 qt. This might serve 5 people with left overs. If you have suggestions, I would appreciate it. This tagine is the functions that I want. I have a small one, and one that is 2.2 qt, but I have ideas for this particular design. Thanks.
Question:	What does the bottom of the metal bowl look like? Can it be used without the silcone shell and not scratch other surfaces
Answer:	There’s a clear glaze on the inside and outside of the lid. The outside of the lid also has colored glaze as a decoration. The entire bottom also has a clear glaze, except for the extreme underside of the bottom where the tagine is in contact with the heat source. That very bottom of the bottom is the only surface that has no glaze. Based upon their answer to another question, the seller doesn’t seem to understand that the tagine is glazed pottery. So, you’re not going to get an answer to this question unless someone buys one and analyzes the glaze. Keep in mind that the entire inside of this tagine has a clear glaze, and some clear pottery glazes contain lead. The seller insists that the tagine is lead free, but the seller also says the tagine is unglazed.

Question:	Are these oven safe
Answer:	No. Do not microwave. Please don't worry, this insulated lunch container can keep hot food hot for 5 hours, keep warm at least 10 hours. Important Tips, please fill it up with hot tap water for about 5~10 minutes to preheat the food jar while you prepare pack your food, it will keep warmer for a longer time. Question:	Do these have lids
Answer:	No! The body is stainless steel. My daughter heats her food in a separate container in the microwave in the morning, then puts the heated food in the thermos so it's warm at lunch.
