Answer:	Yes, the packaging from my frypan says this: “Always use a LITTLE OIL OR BUTTER suited for frying for best results. DON’T USE: extra virgin olive oils or oil sprays as they cannot withstand high heat.” Based on that wording, my guess would be you’re fine using extra virgin olive or sprays at lower heats.

Answer:	The Cera-force pan is oven safe up to 500 degrees; the Thermolon only to 400 degrees. The Cera-force is extremely non-stick. I don't know about the Thermolon.

Question:	What is "gotham steel"? is it made of of steel or titanium? Or are they using deceptive descriptions to describe an aluminum pan
Answer:	it's supposed to be some new technology that combines non-stick ceramic surface with super strong titanium. The claim is, by allowing your food-whether it's eggs, steaks, or even cheese-to slide right off, without using butter or oil. That didn't happen for me. with our without oil or butter. I still had to scrape and scrape to get the food off. I actually had to work harder to get the food off than a traditional non-stick pan
Question:	So many 1 star critical reviews! i'm wondering if all the 5 star "verified" ratings are from shills. how can we explain the vastly different ratings
Answer:	I was just reading through these. I hadn't read the reviews beforehand either. I thought it was kinda funny how that one person said that 5 star reviews were short sentences while the 1 stars were highly detailed. That doesn't mean any hanky panky is going on. Think about it. "Do You like it?" "Yes, I think it's wonderful!" - or - "No, because blah blah blah blah blah". That's how real life works. I think it's important to see the many different kinds of experiences. I just don't understand how mine doesn't stick at all but some people stuck like an iron skillet with no grease. I just ordered an 11.5" pan because we liked ours so much. I hope I get "lucky" twice in a row because I really like that pan.
Question:	How does it compare to the Green Pan
Answer:	I haven't tried Gotham yet, purchased at Costco awhile ago but returned it without using after I read all the Amazon reviews. I bought Green Pans mainly because I have a bird that likes to be in the kitchen & needed chemical free. The 8" Green pan works like a charm, almost too good, foods are difficult to flip, have to chase it around the pan. The 12" suddenly started having food sticking issues, big time--I couldn't get the food off even after soaking since only non-abrasives can be used. Followed all caveats. So I'm with all of you that can't make heads or tails out of so many positive reviews in the presence of so many negative ones! Was thinking about re-buying the Gotham until I read all the negatives. Can't win. Threw out all my flaked other nonstick pans. Guess I'll have to go back to the old-fashioned stainless steel or aluminum where I can use my Pam, scrub with Brillo & do whatever I want. Sigh!
Question:	I saw the infomercial for this pan and wanted to check on Amazon's reviewers. How can the reviews be so opposite? I'm hesitant to purchase
Answer:	My mom asked me for this "amazing pan" she saw on TV one night. My first reaction to her request was not too positive. I've been let down by "As seen on TV" products in the past. The first thing I did before even thinking about purchasing the pan is check reviews on amazon. Just like you, I was very sckeptical due to the disparity from one review to another. I got tired of telling my mom this was probably a TV scam. After several days of hearing my mom go on and on about this "special pan" from the infomercial, I broke down and drove to the nearest Wallmart. A store I have only been to twice. I can honestly say with complete confidence that the pan I purchased for my mom is just as it was described on the TV. I would reccomend you take a chance and try it for yourself with a small caveat: go get it at Wallmart or BED BATH and BEYOND. That way, if you don't like the way it works after you use it once, simply return it immediately. Make sure to keep your reciept along with the original packaging and you shouldn't have any trouble with the return. This way you can see for yourself if it works! After that, give a review on Amazon so we can get more statistics. This may be one of those hit-and-miss products! In closing, I have to admit, my mom loves her pan! Good Luck! PS: I paid 19.99 plus tax for the pan at Wallmart.
